‘Mics’ on the WRONG side…for a RIGHT-hand shooter’s CHEEKWELD. Meaning the ‘3.5mm input’ is on the wrong side IMO. I wouldn’t want the mic between my cheek AND the stock…

I couldnt find much info on the mod mic. Do you guys manufacture it, or is it a rebrand of an existing model? If so can we get the model number and manufacturer? Im strongly considering grabbing one. I can't believe the market doesnt have a $150 option that has built in comms yet.

CovertArms manufactures them. That’s why it’s listed as the “covertarms multimount mic” on defense distributors website

They don't manufacture it. It's an existing product but covert arms contacted the manufacturer for a deal. Covert sells an exclusive and better version of the existing product. It's also fair priced. The Microphone is the same and the connectors also. The same with the PTT. But the Velcro part is way smaller on covert arms. So it's also SORDIN compatible. Very nice. The original product costs around 5O - 55 and the covert arms version around 65 bucks. But you get quick shipping because it's already in America. So it's a really fair price! I fully recommend it. I have both.

Okay, you hit on something @ the 3:00-ish mark: The way or ‘DIRECTION’ people (shooters, virtually 100%) WILL WEAR THEIR Ear Pro..regardless of make or model. They FACE THE MICS…FORWARD. Like as IF “wanting” TO HEAR the gun shot..? To me it’s ALL wrong. When are you most likely needing OR wanting to hear ACTUAL comms…communicating WITH others? On the Range..BEHIND you. ON the Line…BESIDE you. I wear my HL ‘Sports’ with the microphones set to the rear, it just makes sense to me. THAT IS WITHOUT being ‘mic’d-up’ though. Important: That 3.5 mic JACK is on the wrong side IF you’re a RIGHT-handed shooter…and would(could) screw with the cheekweld..

Thanks for all the info man. I placed my order at Defense Distributors recently was promptly notified of it shipping out. Thanks! I have yet to decide if I'm going to mount my mic to my HL Impacts or my Peltor Range Guards. Are there any pros and cons to each? RF shielding or volume issues?
