I received one on fathers day from my boy and it's a must have. So handy to have around the garage and out on the trail.

Yeah I really like mine. I may get a second one just because I film and also to have one to attract the mosquitoes away from camp. Other than that I’m super happy with just the one.

@@OXFOOT I could see that and never thought to do that. We call ours the street light and I usually pace it off from the camp and let it do it's thing. Thanks for all that you do for helping keep me informed and entertained while stuck at home. ;)

Sweet video bro! Because of you I hit the guys up got the light ranger and I planned on going camping this weekend but 35mph winds prevented that. So look forward to doing that video soon myself and super pumped about night filming

Seems to me, these should be bluetooth controllable, from a phone, on/off, power settings, color, would absolutely make them game changers!

I’ve been interested in getting two of them but I might hold off till a new version comes out. I would like to see an update from micro usb to usb c, some kind of wireless remote or even Bluetooth capabilities to change the brightness when it’s 9 feet in the air. If they can integrate that, I’m in

I really messed the part talking about this up so I cut it but yeah that was my one compliant I originally talked about. I kept using the “mini USB” and “micro USB” when I meant USBC. The wireless thing would be cool too. I wonder how hard it would be to create an App for that? If it just did that probably not too much code.

@@OXFOOT there is another light similar in designs with a few key differences. It does have the a remote, also has a red light function but only goes to 8’ and the battery doesn’t last as long. It’s from a company called Risk Racing, the light is called the Fli Pro. I just received mine though I may return it just based on the battery life. The same company just released another model called the Fli Overland. I may purchase that but $200 it’s an additional $60 over the Fli Pro. Decisions decisions…

That’s how I actually ended up first hearing about them. Forgot who, but someone who grills on Instagram or tik tok had them and I thought they looked cool.

Have you looked into the CVT UFO light? Other than size....what would be the benefit of this over the CVT? Both are similar in price but the CVT has more features

It’s a good light. I looked into it but it’s $275 and a lot bigger. My biggest draw back to most of the lights I looked at was the size. It’s also the same one as the overland vehicle systems one and the kamp-rite at the same price which leads me to believe that it’s repackaged alibaba product. That being said, I would go with them still if the price was about the same as the devos. If you like that style of light they are pretty cool looking and do have more features.

Does it have a remote ? or do you have to keep extending and retracing if you need to change the light ?

It doesn’t have a remote but I rarely have to change the amount of light so I guess I’ve never really thought of that issue.

The light's great, but the stand is way too long even when collapsed. I wanted to take this on a camping trip but flying with the stand is hard.

The new stand is shorter but I’m not sure if you can buy the stand for the Devos 2000 on its own. If you can it’s much shorter.

Absolutely waste of money. DO NOT BUY..Over priced. They last like 2 hour's on a full 100% charge.

About 3/4 the price of the next competitor that’s any good from what I’ve seen. You can always try amazon. If you are good at repairing the telescoping poles they aren’t too bad. Had a few different brands and this is the only one still standing so far. Just saw one at Home Depot that was $150 without any batteries. You can also hang a lantern in a tree probably the cheapest route.

Yeah I mean a lot of my channel was built on budget stuff so I don’t blame folks for being fine with a $50 light they got at Walmart but yeah this thing is really great. I need to talk to them about codes because I feel like I’ve probably drawn a crowd their way and maybe I could get some discounts for folks. Glad you like yours, I love them.

ended up getting a milwaukee instead because i can change the batteries. don’t like these disposable things. once. the batteries die they’re just more garbage in the landfill.

Oh these don’t have batteries in them. They are rechargeable via usb-c. Or do you mean the rechargeable power source can die?

@@OXFOOT he means that rechargeable batteries have a finite life, and once the battery degrades, it won't last nearly as long and will one day not work

Yeah the stand is the most important part. I’ve had lights that “put out that much light” or at least close but at best they just hang from stuff.

Get a 9w 12v feit electric rv bulb. About 9 or 10 bucks at homedepot. Screw it in an 8 and 1/2 inch clamp light. About 12 bucks. Slap a SAE connector on the end of a 15ish foot or more cord and run a SAE plug out to the back of the vehicle and boom. 0.7amps and 800lm of warm white light that is directional and easily modified with no batteries, solar panels, white gas, propane, kerosene, heat, tripods, or overpriced components that never needs to be charged and costs maybe 30 bucks with off the shelf easily replaceable parts and easy to repair.

I have Feit bulbs in my whole house because i can turn them on and off with my phone… I really like them but I’ve never used the RV one, what’s the wattage? Or lumens?

@@OXFOOT 60w replacement 10.5w led. 800 lumens. Equal to or slightly brighter than a coleman northstar ID say.. pulls about .75 Amps or so off 12v.
