Best Canadian Fly In Fishing Lodges

Short list of favorite Canadian fly in fishing lodges notably for great walleye fishing and great accommodations. We have done several float plane fishing trips into Manitoba and Ontario over the years and these particular camps really stood out for us because of the people, fishing, scenery, boats and lodging accommodations. These opportunities have provided us with some incredible memories. These locations are “bucket list” experiences.

Great video Mr Mitchell. Im a big fan of yours and have been for many years. Fishing and hunting has been my true passion ever since I can remember, and it’s how I keep myself grounded, and my escape from the struggles and problems life Often throws at us. It constantly gives me something to look forward to when life is hard…or when life is great! and it drives me to want to be better and improve all the time. It’s a huge part of mine and my families life, and my all around happiness. I’ve learned a ton from you over the years! your a great Ambassador of the sport, and a great example of a true professional angler who genuinely loves fishing, does his part for conservation, and cares about the future generations of anglers! Keep doing what your doing sir!!! Thanks

I have been going to Knobby's for over 40 years!! They are the best outfitters in Ontario!! You can expect anywhere from good fishing to the best fishing you could imagine!! I miss Knobby and Barb, but the new owners are wonderful!! I love the people and great fishing!

Thank you for staying neutral on the vaccination topic. Ultimately it is a personal choice and those that can't or have chosen not to be vaccinated are currently unable to travel to certain places due to the guidelines. Hopefully that changes at some point as I would like to get back to Canada again. In the mean time I'll settle for Lake Vermilion which is a fantastic fishery as well.

Agreed, don’t like the idea of mandates or restrictions as I believe it should be up to each individual. Vermillion is a great place!

Al Martin I've been to both Gunisao & Aitkens and agree they're excellent. I would also suggest Bolton Lake Lodge. Be aware the recent hike in fuel prices has increased the cost. At the eleventh hour my booked and paid for trip to Gunisao was assessed anther $250/person.

No they are not, just places we feel really safe to recommend based on our past experiences. We do get paid from Travel Manitoba to promote the province but not from these specific resorts. We consider many of these people great friends and we wanted to do something to help them as their businesses have been impacted dramatically.

Do not get in the boat. 11 casts of shore 11 fish. In back bay. Great owners great staff. From father to son. Getting in the boat that is when your arm gets tired. Look forward to great meals.
