@@X-Vidar Lilian is very good for the aggro Rogue, it's basically 4 guaranteed damage even after boardclear and body left over for another 4 damage next turn, that's a lot for a single 4 mana cost card.

@@Willowisp927 Like the game started yesterday. Balance with previous cards, as if there were a direction, or power limit to achieve. There are none this time, so all cards being OP means the game FORCES you to aquire que new cards, not based on logic of better structured decks, more interesting with the meta, but by sheer powercreepiness. Well, to be fair there ARE new mechanics this time around, but the old ones that appeared, exclude pleyability of the previous.

@@danielnolan8848 wargen is actually compeletly fine for the archetype, it's stealth and the deck wouldn't have enough stealth minions without it. The 2 mana 3/1 stealth though should be removed, it's too expensive for the stats.

@@michaelbowman6684 No, he's right. Aggro doesn't like spending mana on stuff and the 2 drop stealth wastes 4 mana for value when you're looking to close out the game quickly. It also disrupts potential Secret Passage turns and Voracious Reader draws.

@@dantebenedetti8095 Because that's how weapons work? They give your hero attack on your turn. They lose durability when you attack with your hero. If an enemy minion attack into your hero, obviously your weapon don't lose durability (since you didn't attack), and the minion gets damaged (since you have attack).

@Laires imprisoned felmaw attacks in your turn when your opponents weapon is passive, this does the opposite. Its not a bug but a 5Head interaction.

Laires why would it. It happens on the turn the weapon isn’t active. When misdirection procs the same thing will happen. It’s always worked like this.

I've never killed anyone with Magtheridon, but I assure you he's better than you think as a tempo card on 8. Basically deathwing without having to dump your hand as long as you have the hellfire combo and your opponent has 3 spaces on their side.

Note that it will change, like we saw last time, I'm just saying that it's annoying that people don't get to give the set a chance on their own due to seeing these decks before the drop.

@@LillianKillThisMan Well that's the point of theorycrafting isn't it. To try and create working good archetypes from the new cards. We can already tell which cards are good and bad, but we want to see if they actually fit in their meant archetype, like Lilian in Stealth aggro Rogue or Dr. Krastinov in Pirate Warrior. You don't need to play cards like 5 mana 1/1, they aren't exciting they are just bad. You could put argument, well this isn't standard meta so these trash cards have at least one time to shine, to show us their animation and quotes, but I would say most players just want to see how the actual archetype with the best cards perform, because that's what they want to play, the most OP deck possible. The 5 mana Rogue/Mage legendary is one of the worst cards in the set, maybe one of the worst 5 drops in Standard. Why not just run 1 good 5 drop instead of this. It doesn't fit into any deck, for control it's not enough value, if it even has any extra value compared to a competitive 5 drops, and it is way too slow for any aggro deck, because there are no charge 5 drops in standard anymore, except for Rhino I guess.

i think secret passage is pretty op in aggro stealth rouge , if you actually build a aggro stealth rouge. Like cut the questings and the flick, even the jandice barov probably, and add in some more proactive 2 drops. Like the 2 mana 1/3 stealth draw a card if that is still around. Then you actually need to hit face sometimes instead of value trade and you might actually play aggro rouge.

I think the power of Secret Passage may actually be higher than most people think it is. People (Trump included) have said that Secret Passage is like 1 mana draw 5 when you play it with an empty hand, and that it's good in a purely aggro deck with low costed minions so you can play all 5 of those cards before the turn ends or find lethal. It doesn't seem like people are considering that you can actually use it in a midrange deck without needing an empty hand. Think of it this way: You have a hand full of 5 cost+ but maybe you need some more tempo than that. Maybe you didn't draw as many early costed minions as you'd have like. What if you have 7 mana, you play Secret Passage shuffling in 5 cards, then you play like 3 cards from your new hand. YOU GET ALL 5 OF YOUR CARDS BACK! So this card works in reverse as well. Any of the temporary cards you play from your deck the turn you activate Secret Passage effectively become "... and draw a card at the end of your turn" which is actually really insane. Midrange decks hate running out of steam, so this card allows you to activate it FIRST, then dump your new hand onto the board, and then redraw all of the cards you shuffled into the deck.

@@febothesir on your turn, if your hero has an attack value, any character attacking your hero will take damage equal to it. This is rare to see happen, because a weapon gives you attack only on your own turn, so opponents minions attacking you on their turn do not get damaged.

@@beanb34n95 Oh I see, and since it was the DH's turn, the character's weapon was giving the character an attack value. That's really neat. Reminds me of an idea for a custom card I had that's a weapon, but it's actually a shield that is only active on your opponents turn, loses durability when you get hit, but deals the weapon damage to the attacker. Kinda like a limited thorns effect.

this deck is to be improved I believe. Reload is good when you have some direct face damage in deck, like southsea deckhand and coldblood on it, but not when you have weirdo cards like questings and voracious readers (I don't mind them generally, but this deck has a bit too much draw with no burn). And imagine playing aggro rogue without saps

u have more value and synergy with stealth then going aggro into face. I would add 1 cost and the new op rouge weapon and try to go face and kill your opponent then going mid game.

Should have self sharpening sword and 2 DP in the deck, sinister strike is also really good, even cold blood. Needs less draw, 1 sap, maybe 1 mieve. You can draw 16 cards with this deck, that’s fucking insane. Don’t need more draw. The 2 mana stealth is really good though. Add skydiving instructor instead of miscreant and QA.

I really just couldn't get too hyped over Secret Passage... it's like a solarium that draws an extra two cards, but when did you ever play all 3 cards you got off solarium? Much less if you got 5 cards off solarium. One mana draw five seems like a good deal, but then you remember that you're not going to play 5 cards in a turn...

The thing is, you mostly use it in aggro decks to fish for lethal, kinda like Myra's unstable element, which was played a lot. Also, you can use it to reach your cards that draw cards or generate them, since they won't go back to your deck at the end of the turn. It is a very useful card, honestly.

The one games he won were thanks to insane highrolls. The first could be chalked up to that random spellburst for the double backstab... without that, I think he'd lose. The second is obvious... getting 3 4 drops on turn 3 is insane.

I think that the problem is that the stealth package isn't tempo enough, and you have too much card draw and/or midgame. I'm not sure if secret passage is viable in this upcoming standard meta given the cards available to rogue but in a vacuum, it should still be a good card. Perhaps it can show its strength better in wild.

Buddy, I've been hear this talk about "In vacuum" for ages. Cards that suppose to be good just for itself and in reality it never see plays on anything. The problem of secret Passage is that it gives you an amazing turn, and after that gives you rotten one. And, if you're next turn is not bad, probably the last one wasn't so amazing either. You see? This card oscillates between being a cheap Plot Twist to a medium All In

It honestly feels like how such an interaction would play out in the original WoW TCG where if a hero has an attack value when attacked (either from using a weapon or activating an effect) they'll deal that much damage to the attacker the same way minions (called Allies in that game) would.

I am not quite sure if prioritizing playing secret passage when you have very few cards in hand is the right play. If you play it when you still have like 3-4 cards in hand, you don’t run out of gas as quickly.

It’s op with a lot of things. However, it’s awful in thief rogue, because any cards you generate during your secret passage turn will just go back into your deck. So no, it’s no OP with espionage, unless it is your only steal card and you use it for the sole purpose of drawing them out with secret passage

Tim Hare yes I know it is high tempo with exactly the cards from espionage, but what I’m saying is that your other card generators in theif rogue will be unplayable, since the card you generated will be sent back into your deck. Sure, if you want to just throw in academic espionage in any normal rogue deck, go ahead, but honestly I’d rather draw the cards I put in my deck in wild than random 1 cost maybe high tempo things. Not to mention you have to pay 4 mana to do nothing at first, which is terrible against aggro

I mean it still IS incredibly overpowered. But the rest of the deck also has to be good in the meta. Barnes is an insanely powerful card, especially at 4 mana, but only if you have an «end of turn» card to pull, or resurrect cards.
