I own the drinkwell because, in the event of a power outage or pump falure, the water is still accessable

I own the drink well. Sure, there is more parts to clean but I don't mind. My cat also cleans her self in her water bowl and the water is always getting dirty, the drink well has a large basin were she can drink and wash with the filters keeping the water clean, my cat loves it and is drinking more water. I like the Drinkwell over the Catit, but I put my own together several years back with the smallest fish tank pump and a few plastic shoeboxes stacked to the right height. The filters are way cheaper and it’s not hard to clean the components. The fuller you keep the water dish, the quieter it is. My cats love it.

I have the flower fountain and my cat (and I) both love it. My cat would always lick the bathroom faucet so I purchased the water fountain to distract him and it worked! Now my dog uses it as well and prefers it over her water bowl. I clean it monthly and it's perfectly fine. Because the water is always moving there isn't any slimy buildup or residue. It's super simple to clean. It's really hard to know what your pet will like but this product is well worth the try.

I bought a Drinkwell, but I didn’t even consider this until I saw another comment. If the power goes out, the Catit won’t provide any water at all. The Drinkwell at least still acts like a standard bowl.

Thank you! I am leaving for a week and must leave my cat at home. Although I have someone coming in a few days, I was concerned about him getting enough water. I bought a couple of gravity water bowls and he just doesn't want to drink unless it's from the tap. So you picked the two fountains I was considering. Thank you again. Just made my decision a lot easier!

You'll never get your dishes clean if you scrub like that 😂 I'm one of those ppl that has to thoroughly scrub my dishes so this video gave me a little bit of anxiety watching them barely clean these pet water fountains LOL

I have both. I hate the drinkwell fountain since the cats step on it and food and hair stays at the bottom of the fountain so overall, it gets dirty so quickly. It's also such a pain in the ass to clean.

@@CatAddicted & another thing I didn't like is u can't replace the green part with the blue one - catit won't sell it to u. They make u buy a whole new led water fountain.
