Well, 2016 was actually a pretty good year for me railfanning wise, even though it sucked when you look at the big picture. I caught a lot of stuff I hadn't seen before or hadn't seen in a while, and I traveled quite a bit this year. Because of the amount of great stuff I caught, I've broken this video into two parts. This is the first part covering the first half of the year, from January to June. The catches in this video are:

-NS 335 with Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern engines trailing
-NS 6354 pulling NS A81, my first time catching an SD40E

-A rather short and odd BNSF train, first time catching a BNSF ES40DC
-First time catching an NS tri-clops SD60M leading, first time catching a Canadian Pacific EMD engine, first time catching NS I3N

-SD70 leading NS 325
-First time catching a 7000-series SD60E, first time catching NS I2N
-Catching CSX R518 with four CSX C40-8Ws pulling it
-First time catching a Tier-4 GEVO, also a Tier-4 GEVO trailing behind a YN2 AC44CW
-Union Pacific tri-clops SD60M trailing on NS 201
-NS 911 for the first time on NS 362
-First time catching an ex-Southern Pacific SD40M-2 still in the patched SP paint
-NS 1000 (NS's first SD70ACe) leading NS 737
-The Veterans Unit leading NS 325
-A pair of SD80MACs and the Southern Heritage Unit pull NS 201
-First time catching a GP20M-Q
-An empty Rail Train with an SD60M leading it
