Yeah, it's pretty dumb considering it was supposed to be an achievement that gave you an advantage, and now everyone has it. They really should have locked awakening to r5 5*, since the material cost is similar building a maxed 2*. 1* and 2* should have still required a max r10 gem for awakening. Way to kill any relevance awakening had BlizzEase...

@@Grimm.Malice They do that with absolutely everything. It's always a cash-grab, since everyone who would spend orbs has done so, lets make every remaining player spend 70k plat.

@@MarcAyouni They definitely do. Although, I can't help thinking that pushing people to r5 5 stars to unlock awakenings would have generated more money for them long term. Like you said, they seem to always go for the easy cash grabs. I just hate seeing that continue to compromise cool features in the game.

It doesnt make any sense

You can check each slot to see what bonuses they give before actually unlocking them when you are ready to unlock one of them. I can't remember if the bonus somewhat change depending on the build you have but are basically all the same per build. When you are ready just go to the Master Jeweler and check each of the slots and pick which one you want. The gem that you use to unlock has to be in the slot that you pick for it to stay unlocked. If the gem you have that's r10 say in head gear and you want to unlock main weapon, then the gem will be moved to main weapon. Just make sure to remember to adjust any save builds you have in armory for the new change.

It is for runes, not for 2nd gem

You SEVERELY misunderstand the changes if that is how you describe the update. Technically, you didn't state any negative reasons also. You just stated 2 things as if they are inherently bad. What is bad about the Paragon compression? The only thing that can be inferred from your comment is that the number is smaller and your comment on difficulties is that the same naming scheme is used. Elaborate on your feelings and I'll explain more to help you see the positive impact of any changes.

@glowyrm did they not reset the paragon tree from 1300 to 299? Do you think you're not going to grind back to 1300 and get another reset in a year or 2? Do you think they won't squish the hells again so they make you regrind the hell/inferno levels again? This is blizzard they do the minimum work for big profit. How many money spending events have they already pumped into the game since the so called major update was released? I get it you love blizz but don't act like they did anything amazing here

I’m not likely to stay in the game for much longer there’s no enjoyment in end game just grinding. I have to say the levelling was very good, really interesting but it’s not until you eventually get to end game that your faced with the grind reality!! 😮
