Best Cheap Tire | Lexani LX 20 Review | Q50

Күн бұрынAfter putting over 500 miles on the recently mounted Lexani LX 20 tires, I thought i'd do a quick review of how the tire handles in everyday driving situations.
We will do a performance test down the road, to include cornering, launch/accelleration, braking and tread-ware, but for the purpose of this video, I wanted to get an idea of what the average joe/jane might think of this tire at the $100 price point.

I recently went with Achilles ATR Sport 2 Tires 245/40ZR19 all around. Good price and no issues after about 1,000 miles. Traction is good all around, however mine is AWD. Thanks for the review, I'll look into them next time around as well.

That was an affordable brand that I looked at as well. I had never heard of them, so went this way instead. Thanks for the info! Lexani is a sub-brand if Nexxen manufactured in South Korea. I’m pleased so far!

I'm going to look into these as cheap summers. Have had BFG G-Comp 2 A/S on previous cars and they are brutally good for an all season, but can be pretty pricey at times. Thanks for doing the all important "will they smoke in the rain" test, clearly after the important facts.

You can spin almost any tire in the rain, but I just can’t help myself lol! You’re right-I’ve had good experience with BFGs as well, but that price tag sometimes hurts to look at!

@@SpeedCultureStudios How wide are your wheels? I'm about to pick up a set of 19x8 wheels, and am thinking of getting these in 245/40/19. Are you running a 255 on a 8inch rim?

awfulinternet these wheels are 9.5 wide. 255/40/19 up front. A 245 would be perfect for an 8 inch wheel.

awfulinternet I had a mustang with 18x8 wheels and ran a 255s on the front and 275s on the rear so I know you can go bigger-but that was set up for straight line racing. 245s should be flush!

Just an FYI - the tires are not directional, the manufacturer just requires a certain sidewall pointed out. They can be rotated normally. Thanks for the video.

I just put the 275/35/19 tires that you recommended on my 2019 rs 400 AWD, i ordered the rear 1st, still have dunlap on front, but the car handles so bad that I'm afraid to buy the front ones, when i change lanes on the interstate its scary !! Will it handle better when I put the front ones on ?? What to do ??? Please advise...

Do you have that same size in the front? If you're awd and have different size in the front, that could cause problems.

My boy! I'm debating on budget tires. Either the velozza zx4v 19 or Lexani lx twenty 19s. What tires would you suggest? The velozza's are very cheap. All season

Depends on the weather you get. Lexani is an decent summer tire, but wouldn’t run it if you get a decent winter

I got these in 305 30 20 rears and 285 30 20 fronts for winter driving my 1LE because it came with summer only Goodyear F1 supercar 3.

I was trying to pick between these and the continental extreme contact dws06 plus, I enjoy a good launch so was thinking more towards the continentals, any input?

Don't be cheap went it comes to ride comfort performance and safety. It's worth the extra money. Conti DWS 06 Plus is a superior tire compared to Lexani. You will feel the difference. Don't believe all these so called positive reviews.

The dws06 are just ok & the thread wears quick! If your comparing Michelin pilot sport,then I would say it’s night & day difference…believe it or not the dws06 are not much difference(maybe a lil in snow)

I have personally run Indy 500 both at the track and on the road. Best tires ever. Now I'm running Thailand Atlas 295/30/19 in the rear they are 520 thread wear traction A but they SUCK. Only reason I got them was for milage.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about the Indy 500s, but have never run them. For everyday driving, I’ve been very happy with these inexpensive Lexani. We will see how they do when I really push them. My favorite “cheap” tire has been the Sumitomo HTRz II. I actually replaced Goodyear eagles with them and loved them despite some poor reviews.

Hey a lot of people are complaining about radials breaking or bubbles in the wall. Is that an issue ?

I’m not sure what you mean. Essentially 99% of all passenger car tires are now radials. Are you hearing about a specific tire?

I have had issues with Bubbles forming on the inside of these tires. I was told it was due to driving with little or no air in the tire... I can tell you that I've never driven with low air. I did replace them with the same tire and again got Bubbles. My bad. I decided to go with Nitto Invo. My wheels Re 20" #VossenC2V. My tire are 245 30 20 in the front and 275 30 20 in the rear on a 07 #Lexus #IS350

Pro Firearms Training Besides not getting the grip I need, these have been good tires for me. Of course they don’t compare to Nittos, though. That was a big jump you made. I will say I’ve gotten a big protruding bubble out of a Dunlop in the past so, things happen I guess.

How do these handle in light to moderate occasional snow?

We don’t get much snow so I don’t think I ever had them in it, but if it’s relatively light and not really sticking to the pavement you’ll probably be fine if you don’t drive like an idiot lol but they are high performance summer tires so you need to have reasonable expectations

I'll always compromise a lil comfort for low profile tires. All about aesthetics.

How are they holding up? I am thinking about grabbing these for my 2017 mazda 6. i just want a decent set of tires without spending $600.

They are actually really good! I’ve been really happen with them even after a few trips to the mountains and ripping through the curvy roads for about 300 miles. Hard to beat for under $500 for a set!

With low profiles I don’t see what the point in getting some expensive tires if at any moment a pothole can fuck up your set and if you aren’t going to track the car some budget to cheap tires will hold up well.

Pretty much. And these are actually great in corners. It’s just that in straight lines they give no traction lol.

Depends how low you are and the offset of your wheel. 275 would not fit on my car!

Tires ride pretty smooth on my Mustang, but are not good for launching my car. Nothing but wheel spin in first and second gear.

Good! Happy with them overall, especially for daily driving. Had no issues in cooler temps or in the rain. They did well in the mountains with proper lateral grip. The one area they lack is straight line grip. No traction for launches at all!

I have a Tesla model 3 performance. It’s definitely a tire shredder. I was looking for something a little cheaper for the time being. It’s awd and almost never traction limited. Thx for your input!!!

What kind of wheels? Just bough a '15. Those 17 with silver wheels gotta go. Want car blacked out. Midnight edition if you will. Don't think I want to pay for infiniti. Paying for name. No thx.
