The restyling of T-Cross focuses more on the quality of interior materials and standard equipment: indeed, we find excellent assemblies with very few perceptible creaks, and soft plastic even where you don't expect it. The dashboard layout also changes, with a new 8-inch cantilevered touch display and good functionality. It includes Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto as standard. Although the climate controls are touch controls, physical controls on the steering wheel return, from which you control the digital cockpit, which is highly visible, well configurable and also comes standard
The T-Cross's trunk is among the roomiest in the B-SUV category: as much as 385 liters minimum and modular thanks to the sliding bench seat. On-board roominess is at the same time surprising: you are quite comfortable even with 5 passengers thanks to the overhead storage, the pockets behind the seats and on the doors where a water bottle fits!
On the VW T-Cross 2024 road test, its compact and versatile traveler character is immediately apparent. Indeed, the steering wheel is at an angle, the seating is comfortable and elevated, and the ride comfortable. The 7-speed DSG transmission (there would also be a manual) is smooth and shifts at the right time to keep the 1.0 TSI 115 hp below 2,000 rpm to lower fuel consumption. There are no driving modes, but given its character, it fits.
The T-Cross 2024's ADAS are outstanding: travel assist is standard, as is adaptive cruise control, which works great and is controlled from buttons on the steering wheel. It optimally maintains the center of the roadway, follows the car in front of you, and is very intuitive to use and activate
What are the fuel consumption figures for the new T-Cross 2024 1.0 TSI 115 hp? The engine is very efficient although it is not hybrid or electrified. It gives its best in suburban stretches where it exceeds 30 kilometers to a liter at constant speed. In the city the average drops precisely because there is no support from an electric motor, but still it will not be difficult to travel 17-19 kilometers with a liter of gasoline.
VW T-Cross restyling 2024 starts at a price of 26,200 euros in Life trim and 95 hp. At only 200 euros more is the Edition Plus, which grants many optional extras such as 17-inch wheels and a rear camera at a very attractive price. The top of the range Style and R-Line break through the 30,000 euro mark. The only difference between the two trims is that Style offers matrix headlights as standard, while T-Cross R-Line offers Volkswagen R details.
