Well folks it has been a hoooot one lately!! This summer has had us all looking for some AC, or a body of water and an icey beverage. So that got me thinking about the best summer cocktails!! So today we are going to be checking out a few of my go to hot weather summer cocktails!! Hope you guys enjoy!
RANCH WATER
Fill Glass With Ice
2-3 oz. Casamigos Tequila (But use as much as ya want ;)
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Top with Topo Chico Sparkling Water
Garnish with Lime wedge
PALOMA
Rim Glass with a 50/50 salt and sugar mixture and fill with ice
2oz Reposado Casamigos Tequila
2.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
.5 oz agave syrup
.5 oz lime juice
Top With Topo Chico Sparkling water
Garnish with grapefruit wedge
THE GOOD DOCTOR
1.5 oz Rye Whiskey
1.5 oz Amaro
4-6 oz Dr Pepper
Garnish with orange wedge
RED RAIDER
1.5 oz Bourbon
.75 oz Lemon Juice
.5 oz Cointreau
.5 oz of a Good Grenadine
Lemon peel for garnish
KENTUCKY MULE
2 oz Bourbon
.5 oz lime juice
.25 oz Simple Syrup
2 pcs fresh mint
Top off with Ginger beer
fresh mint for garnish

I do my Paloma with 2 parts tequila, 1 part grapefruit juice, fresh lime , and Fresca. May not be traditional but it sure taste good poolside! Another fun episode, love the show!

I got one for ya! The original Amish gatorade, "Switchel". But with Bourbon in it. Has been called a Haymaker. 4oz Ginger simple syrup, 4oz. water, 2 oz lemon juice, 2oz. BOURBON (OR MORE TO YOUR LIKING) AND 1 TEASPOON APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, POUR CONTENTS INTO A 1 QT MASON JAR FULL OF ICE AND SHAKE A FEW TIMES. I make my own ginger syrup using fresh ginger.

Before I start the video. I have yo have you try this. Mom passed in jan and I had her blueberries left so I made a bourbon drink. Handful of blueberries and 2 oz of bourbon (ezra) muddle Then .25 oz lime juice .5 oz simple And 1 oz of cointreau Shake till frosty tin Its tasty

I think the grapefruit soda you're thinking of is Squirt. I love Squirt and it was a favorite from my childhood. Red Raider is the Texas Tech mascot! Made me laugh. I was a professor there for a long time a long time ago. I'm rocking Gin and tonics here for the hot days. It's a nice way to end the day. Fun stuff!

Just FYI, "Squirt" is grapefruit Soda. You should be able to find it just about anywhere, including gas stations and stuff if you do want. I hate grapefruit juice, and we keep Squirt around for Amaretto Sours.
