This is exactly how I feel about coffee. It just makes me happy 😊. I also make it a point to go to places that have real cups. It stays hot longer and is less wasteful. (It also looks better in a cup).

Yeah, doesn’t milk cost more anyway? Oatmilk isn’t the healthiest, but tastes the best in an espresso drink. It compliments coffee well without overpowering it. Definitely a cortado/macchiato person

Thanks for your recommendations! When I visited Paris twenty years ago the locals drank their coffee black, only the tourists added milk to their coffee. Times have changed.

I’m American, and I always drink coffee black. But espresso drinks are a little different. A cortado or macchiato is good (not too much milk). For a light roast, I like some foam and a little oat milk. For dark roast, I can drink it black. It depends. Also, acidity could bother people’s stomachs.

My favourites is cafe du temple , au petite tonneaux, both In Republique and then cafe St. Paul in Le Marias . Otherwise honestly it’s hard to find a bad coffee in paris . Pick a terasse and sit and relax . Don’t say sorry for your accent you are French and beautiful and we love you

As retired educators (we helped a new school open in Lviv - Aug-Dec), we are exploring Poland (Dec-Jan), Estonia (Feb), and possibly France. Nice looks beautiful and welcoming. I enjoyed cappuccino and espresso at Noir on Boulevard Haussmann every morning while I was in Paris in June. Coffee was served in beautiful porcelain cups.

A favourite of mine is also "Braun Notes", Rue de Mogador. Their coffee is excellent and the food is lovely. It's a small but cute shop and I can't wait to get back!!

So Parisian that they all have english names except for Kitsuné. You would have find these coffees in Brooklyn or Melbourne 10 years ago with a super Barista who grew up drinking «pisse de cheval» but went in Italy to learn the how to make good coffee. Very cool and probably very good but very unparisian to me except for this «admiration béate et naîve» to all things anglo-saxon! Except for the Kitsuné café, of course!

i’m surprised roasting your own beans isn’t common in Paris. Also, trendy coffee in America is usually poor quality like starbucks. Best of luck with your new coffee business.

Absolutely, coffee market is slowly becoming "a thing" here and kind of cool in Paris. Starbucks is still really famous but I think that people realize that they can have best quality, flavour and more charming cosy places with local roasters. Thank you! I'm excited :-)

KB is my local cafe- it’s great. You failed to mention the lovely view from the terrace of Sacre Coeur though- an added bonus if you can get a good table
