I don't get all this departure angle hoopla. You put an angled box on it and then leave the hitch down at stock height. I know the departure angle is a hot catch phrase but someone needs to stop the stupidity. Look @ 2:44 and a blind man can see the flaw . It's not just this rig, it is rampant in the overlanding segment. Just my 2 cents worth.

Standard pickup beds suck! Utility beds are so much more useful. A no brainer for a pickup camper.

lol it will not! The bed on this truck is only about 150 lbs heavier than the factory bed, and the Scout Camper weight around only about 1300lbs. So lots of payload leftover on this F350! The Ram that bent in half was several thousand pounds over payload if memory serves me.

There are pics of other trucks with bent frames out there and the thing they all have in common is that they're grossly over loaded. Don't overload your truck and you'll be fine.

@@bowen_customs And a lot of their mass -- EarthRoamer -- is behind the rear axle, creating enormous leverage.
