The March update for Halo Infinite brought in the new network for the game, and even made some settings for controller players feel a little different. So today, I cover what I changed in this new update, and also more changes that I have made since the last video I’ve done. I of course cover my new controller as well! The fact that there’s a controller settings video for every update, is the exact problem with halo infinite. No consistency. I feel like I’m adjusting settings every match.

I LOWERED horizontal and vetical sensitivity by 1.0, just on an intuition. I'm shooting better than ever, but i finally got a monitor too, right alongside the March update, so i can't truly tell which made me better.

The 2 center deadzone on look thumbstick made a huge difference. I’m on Move: 0 center 15 max input 3 axial Look: 2 center 0 max input 3 axial 2 acceleration 6, 6.5 Also elite series 2 controller with axis independent on both sticks and default sensitivity curve

I run those foam control rings with the kontrol freeks. Really helped with a super worn out controller. My sticks wiggle if I shake the controller in my palm. lol thing is spanked. Going to try an elite 2 core next!

Personally it feels completely different for me. I usually averaged 60% accuracy before the update. Now I’m down to 35-40. It’s not hit reg either. I can’t acquire targets or react at all. Even bumping things up a half step didn’t help. I’ve been tweaking settings and trying to get it to feel good again but it’s either too much or too little. Honestly the game is borderline unplayable for me. Very frustrating. I don’t understand how a network update affects the controls. If anything it should feel better, tighter. But instead it feels like I cant get my reticle on target anymore.

I have the same issue, it felt completely different from an aiming perspective. I upped my look axial dead zone and it made it feel a little bit tighter and actually had to go down on my sensitivity by half a point

Same issue here, it’s like I auto aim and lock-on right NEXT to the target and it resists me moving that last foot onto the target. Almost like the auto aim target on my end is lagging behind the actual hitbox by a few milliseconds. Before the update they were correctly the same

I think you just describes the issue perfectly. I turned on v sync last night and I felt like it really helped. Not really sure how the two are related but it seemingly fixed the issue @@OGJC7

Hey Cody long time these settings are decent. However I feel like I’ve really gotten to understand center n axial og halo had huge axial deadzones so you want your axial to always be higher than your center or radial deadzone like you have. The thing I would tweak in yours is the center I like it at 0 Becuz it gives me the most range of motion at 2 you sacrifice those slight micro adjustments. this is best I’ve ever played on as far as deadzones also my acceleration is at 5 as I feel the speed is nice n it’s feels more linear 1 to 1 like OG halo did. Now one thing I think ppl over look is input threshold I have mine at 5 similar to yours you can’t have it at 0 on this game it’s no good mainly Becuz of the strafe momentum speed which is very subpar in this game something 343 should have tweaked but Becuz of it the input threshold should be anywhere from 5-10 like you stated. Also secret tip I discovered on my own for the move values. I have mine at 15 for maximum strafe speed like you always recommended I agree it’s best at that however I have my deadzones both at 15 which is very uncommon this seems to have eliminated the ice skating feel 🥶with movement just my 2 cents…. As a Hall Effect controller player, It's so hard to find the right sesnitivity, but it should be so easy since my controller will never get drift... I'd love to see you try the GameSir G7 SE, with Hall Effect Sticks.

14:46 I would run the graphics settings to at least be on par with xbox quality. If you have a 3070 you should be able to do that no problem.

Note a scuff and a standard controller is the same. It is a modified controller

@@AboveAverageCody my guy it’s the outer ring thumbstick rings. It’s the same PCB Board in the controller as a series s/x controller because it is the same controller. I’ve built custom controllers and scuff, battle beaver, aim etc, all are modified controllers.

@@AboveAverageCody oh I hear you, it’s wayyyy better than the elite. I was telling you way back when you got that controller to just go through with making the switch, you’ll like it more. I’m glad you did now. Do consider other controllers like Victrix gambit and gamesir g7 if you are looking for faster response times, those are controllers that are built with completely different PCBs and Victrix gambit even has two PCBs inside apparently. Standard controllers do as well but these controllers are clocked to be faster and are overclockable

It resets every time?? I know this used to be a bug but mine are normally all good. Maybe once every 1-2 months I’ll have some stuff reset. Not sure how to fix that

This seeeems soooooo slow. I've come from call of duty and these turn speeds are mind boggling 🤣. I get that i have a lot to learn but how can you react to anything being so slow? Someone's behind you and you're beyond dead
