Hello!!! How is the hydraulic on it? I have the older version and I have to heighten it every hour because it goes down.

I've heard several comments on the hydronic, I've had my chair for a few months now and its been fine. I will keep an eye on it to see if I start seeing it fail. Also it might be something that can be upgraded. I know the wheels are an upgrade I made to my chair. I will look into it. @@1016ajm

Nice! Happy you got the chair on sale it's definitely a steal! Do you find the back adjustable head rest is ok for your height? I'm 5'11 and it feels perfect but wondering for people that are taller.

Yup the back head rest works just fine, and i can fully lean back with no hesitation about having to much weight. Or anything along those lines. @@thetechmost

agreed, by any chance is your hydraulic ok? people seem to have issues sometimes but mine is doing fine so far...

​@@thetechmost I don't really use the hydraulics but I just checked and it seems to work fine on my chair. The fact I can lock the back in the reclined position is great. I just found out about that.

Dang that sucks. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and still holding strong. The bottom cushion material has a lot of stitching that I’m thinking might give in a few years but good to know. I will try to not sit with anything that might puncture it. Especially keys, I tend to keep them in my back pocket sometimes.

That's an awesome price cut! I'm almost sure you could reassemble it to fix the hydraulic. They might have placed it upside down? This chair is super simple to put together so maybe you can fix it in just a few minutes. The hydraulic should just pop off like at 2:10 in the video (the white nob should be facing up). Either way that is a great deal and happy you bought it! I also was glad that the chair turned out to be a light Gray. I actually prefer that over a white.

It's not technically vegan leather according to the specifications on the Costco website... it's bonded leather which does contain some amount of real leather.

I think that is a great idea, I hope you enjoy it. I am working on a video of owning the chair for 6 months now and I would recommend it. Its a great buy.

@thetechmost I'm going to pick it up tomorrow morning, hoprfully its still there. The cushion looks super thick and looks like won't compress down too much, like it has that office chair feel. Best part is... I've checked the design of the arm rests and my old mesh chair armrests which are wide and soft and rubbery would fit that chair, so I'm going to use those arm rests and make my chair custom.

Thats a good point! The chair sits upright at "90 degrees" which is what I have on mine. If you lift the LEFT lever up it unlocks it and you can lean back to your liking. But in order to lock in your preference you have to push the lever back down. If next time you see it at Costco check if it locks it so you don't spring all the way back. I should have included it in the video but great comment thank you!

I also forgot to mention that the Nob right under the chair also adjusts the tension so it doesn't spring back so easy. if you adjust the tension it will also make it more comfortable to use.

The bottom seat cushion does tilt with the back but very minimal. probably not as much as other chairs I've seen. It also does lock in place.

I'm actually also 5"11 and I can say that the chair is perfect size for me. the head rest goes up a bit for taller people but in my opinion it works great for my height. Check out my "6 month" video on my channel, I talk about that a little bit more in depth if you're interested.

yeah the back has a swivel that I had to get used to. I don't think it hurt me but it did feel a bit weird until I adjusted the chair to my liking.

Mine has been doing great but I've had mine a few months now. I have got some people comment about the hydraulic so I'm curious now. So far my chair functions great and I use it every day.

If you lift it to the very top it will keep going down. You have to click it up to 3 clicks because the 4th click will make it go down. let me know if this helps! I had the same issue at first.

I'm not familiar with the emerge Vartan Chair but I can tell you the quality on the DPS chair is really nice. I work at my desk daily and enjoy the comfort it has to offer. I don't regret this purchase and truly enjoy it. Plus I believe Costco has a great return policy. I would recommend especially for the price.

The white is more like a light gray in color. I actually end up liking it better. Its holding up nicely in my opinion. Its easy to clean and glad its not pure white.

I'm not sure but for reference I'm 5'11 and the headrest at its highest extension is ok for me. The headrest mount is flimsy so I keep it all the way down and it also seems fine because it's so big.

i have recently gone to Costco and checked it out, it is tall enough but the back lumbar support isnt the best but it will be alright@@thetechmost

Yeah alot of these companies buy from same China factory and maybe just some change in design and with prices it varies on how popular the brand name used so its even funnier when people buy the same exact chair for 600$ or more. Atleast with this one the price is somewhat okay. Another thing is there’s barely any R&D with gaming chairs most of this companies are just cashing out on what they can get before the hype about gaming chair dies off.

Lmao he literally has footage of him in it at 3:26. I don't think he went and returned it. Read the pinned comment, and he doesn't have a monetized channel so it's not like he made money off this video or a sponsorship. My wife and I just bought two of these chairs from Costco because we both work from home and needed new chairs. They were side by side the lazy boys in the store and I thought the lazy boys would be more comfortable but I sat in both and the DPS chair had waaay more padding and was more comfortable. My wife is on her computer for about 8 hours a day sometimes more and I'm on mine for about 6 hours a day. The chairs have been great, and my back has actually been hurting less since getting the new chair. Also I noticed that the arm rests have alot of padding which is great for long gaming sessions on keyboard and mouse, my elbows used to get sore with my old chair because the arm rests had barley any padding, but the DPS chair has more than enough in the arm rests. I don't have the exact same one this guy does in the video mine is black and the arm rests look a little different but for the price I'd say it's a decent chair. It may not be a Herman Miller or something like that but if your looking for a higher quality, affordable "gaming" chair, it's a good option. Better than a $500 secret lab or something like that in my opinion.
