There are a ton of great crab cakes here at the beach but these in particular are the ones that I've heard the most word of mouth, voted best in local magazines and have great reviews online. Fenwick 🦀 House at Coastal Hwy and 54. Been eating there since 1965. Best crabcakes ever!

Woodys is my favorite, but I always add a pinch of extra old bay seasoning to them.

My fave is in Glen Burnie, Sunset. In a beach tourist town cakes are usually not that good. Hooked in OC has good ones, though. Also Liquid Assets.

I’ll have to check them out if ever over in Glen Burnie! OC and surrounding area has a lot of top notch places for a crab cake. I like both those places you mentioned. 🙌🏼

Thanks for the video. When Captains Galley Restaurant was in West OC, they had the best crab cakes. When they left, Coins was my go to place for crab cakes and their cream of crab soup. I did try Crab Cake Factory once and it was the worse crab cake I ever had. I haven't tried Woody's or Broad St yet. I'll have to put them on my list. Another disappointing crab cake is Crabs to Go. The crab cake tastes okay but it is so small it was a little bigger than a golf ball. Glad to see Captains Galley back.

You're welcome! Yes, I always loved their crab cakes and I think the new place has the same recipe/quality and doing it right. Coins was good. Yeah, Crab Cake Factory I've heard can be a hit or miss. I had their crab cake a few years ago and wasn't digging it then. This go around was actually really good. I'll have to try Coin's cream of crab!

Totally agree, I've experienced Crab Cake Factory "more miss than hit" (but their Bloody Mary is killer). I'm a huge fan of Coins: Their crab cakes have this sweetness to them I can't explain but love. I've never made it up to Woodys in Dewey, that's now on my list. Captains Galley is awesome, but it seems like they are never open! Rich, I appreciate your videos. Please keep spreading the word about our seacret here in Ocean Pines...that brings a smile to my face! Note on Crabs to Go...yep...their crab cakes are weak...but their seafood "Fried Combo" is worth the hefty price for anyone look'n for a quick Maryland style culinary man-meal. (Rich: Does "The Grove" ever have crabcakes on their menu?)

Somebody should have told playboy owners son of Phillips once great seafood restaurant before the nogoodnic that to only use best in class Md crabs instead of crabs from dirty lack of quality control communist china that he hot away with. I would eat dog food made in safe clean USA before eating any food from cheating china.

ALL of you are wrong! You do not EVER order a CRABCAKE, and get it on a BUN! Crabcake is to be consumed by itself with tarter sauce, period. Otherwise SAY BEST CrabCake SANDWICH, (Which By the Way DOES NOT EXIST!) The Captains Galley that used to be a restuarant That WAS THE BOMB! REAL CRAB CAKES YES!!!!! NEVER GO TO COINS IT SUCKED!

Crabcake Factory - worst I’ve ever had! Got it to - go, or would have turned around and taken it back. I threw it out. It was deep fried crumbs from the bottom of the fryer.

crab cake factory is not real blue crab, you can tell right away by looking at it

@@RichPrice_livebyoc yes i had them two years ago from there, knew right away i told my son, he says who cares, look at all that crabmeat, i ,myself think our blue crab has the best taste and if you are getting a maryland crabcake, to me it should be with maryland crab, most of the crab meat they use nowadays is imported, but i must say maybe this year when you had them they actually used md crabmeat
