2023 showed why custom statues weren’t amazing, but the custom Hulk you listed as number 3 was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. There were a few others not on your list that were good overall but, again, the 2023 custom releases were weak. A custom Ms. Marvel was well done, as was a custom Bishop. Otherwise, licensed pieces blew away the custom statues this year. One custom commissioner is finishing his line of the Fantastic Four that promises to be amazing. Looking forward to great statue accomplishments in 2024! Happy New Year, Mr. Ehhhhhxxxxxx!!

Would have expected the Venomized Wolverine or winged Venom to be in top 3 given your love for the characters and how amazing they look! Solid top10 nonetheless!

The thing about Custom made statues is not just how expensive they can be but sometimes it is a gamble and you can get ripped off. Given how impressive the statues look they are very tempting. That Clayface for instance is amazingly done. Definitely top notch and I don't collect any Batman items. One similar impressive statue that should be coming out soon is the Bane with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. That concept sculpt of the threesome all together is one I can't wait to see reviewed. One that I have my eye on is a custom Namor. Hopefully it will come to fruition. Great list, congratulations on getting all those pieces and thank you for sharing it with us.

7:47 I love when they do that with the newspapers, looks so cool. There’s a few PVC figures I’ve seen lately have done that.

This was the year of venom! A lot of custom venom pieces for sure. I did like the Arkham Batman custom but it’s a tough when soo many customs came out this year for the best

Great list, my fav of 2023 had to be my custom Conan 1/4 scale.reciwved him in early 2023. Not much is made of him so getting a unique piece like this suits me just fine.

Wow, what a list. So many statues here I’d love to have and I’m not sure which would be number one. Batman and Spider-Man are the main focuses of my collection though so it’s hard to argue with the top two

Love the venomized Wolverine, the clay face, and vintage hulk show pieces. Those would be my top 3 of these pieces in that order.

Excellent list! I would need to see them in person to fully agree with you, but I can't argue with it.. I really want to see that absurdly massive Maestro on Throne. I feel it would look great on my dining room table, but I'm sure I'll also hear "I'm wrong" from my wife. 😂

From the list my favorites were Clayface and Winged Venom, sculpt on Clayface is insane, reminds me of the creature from The Thing.

These are all awesome, but my favorite has to be the Venom/Carnage rock band statue.

I like the Gwenom/MJ one the most out of these just because of Gwen, and also like the Magneto on throne(the high perch is different). I like the creativity of custom statues(e.g. massacred ninja's with Wolverine which Disney would never allow), but it kind of sucks that they're harder to attain with lower ES and fight club rules. I got a Windseeker Jill and I think 3D wall picture Spidey this year which I love.

That Clayface looks absolutely incredible. I wanted it but it’s a total display buster. I’m really surprised that Hulk wasn’t number 1 on your list.

you are not alone for that vinged Venom,lot of people are selling that piece and some low prices too.Good list,maybe top 3 could be changed imo.Like that Clayface and Hulk more than Toxin,othervise all 3 are amazing statues

This would be a difficult list to come up with. 1 piece that comes to mind tho is a custom Namor. Although not as popular a character, this certain representation of Namor deserves notoriety, IMHO.

Clayface is supposed to look more Pizza the Hutt shape. That custom Magneto on throne reminds me of him sitting in a Sentinel head throne hairdryer piece on sale or auction. Sorry I have no know of or customer connections with any custom statue companies except custom lightsabers mass built and selling online and at comic conventions. Love these best statue ratings X.

The hulk statue reminds me of that one scene in the '03 film where he comes out of that water tank that was supposed to calm and secure him. Out of everyone, i think i love Clayface and Mario the best. Clayfa e is all about the detais, he is an actor after all. And Mario shows simple is always welcome.

Hulk should have been number one. That's a pretty good build and paint job for a custom company. Usually they look a tad chintzy, which all the others do, but that one actually looks like a licensed statue. I could be wrong, not having seen it in person, but I've seen the comparison to a licensed piece, and most Hulk statues tend to look slightly disproportionate.

Oh man there's a lot of them definitely the Clayface one of my favorite characters that big huge Hulk the Solomon Grundy but I'm not sure if anybody saw that there's just too many to name

Not a Vemon fan at all , definitely like the Hulk custom breaking out of the gamma lab is number 1 for me Clay face looks like something I made in pottery class years ago 😅

Hulk. Missing Doom. Doom wins, not just some of the time... He wins all of the time. It doesn't matter if he is eligible or not. Put him in there with a previous year's statue if you have to...Doom wins.

The Magneto and Hulk customs are fantastic and get my vote. Carnage, Venom, and Symbiote alternates are way overdone and overused.

You keep saying how a ranking of a statue surprises you even though it is your ranking. How do you come up with the number position? Do you do a list of pros and cons and tally up a total point value?

Typically I will go through everything I got and start writing down the ones I really liked. Then rank them in which one could I give up the easiest if it was a standalone piece. I usually let the list sit a week or so as there are usually changes.

I keep asking what they identify as and they don’t ask me. So I have to look at their physical features. Hopefully I’m not misgendering.
