There’s a legendary Sandevistan cyberware sold by a Ripperdoc named Fingers in Japantown, by default it slows down time to 25% for 12 seconds followed by a 15 second cool down, and it has 3 mod slots. If your crafting skill is high enough, you can buy a legendary mod crafting spec called “heatsink” from another Ripperdoc that will reduce Sandevistan cool down by 4 seconds. If you craft 3 of those heatsink mods and put them on Fingers’ Sandevistan cyberware, the cooldown between Sandevistan activations is shortened to just 3 seconds. That means in 1 minute you can spend 48 of seconds in Sandevistan mode. It’s an incredibly powerful build.

you can make the mantis blades a 100% main weapon if you equip the cyberware thing that makes your weapons non-lethal, disables the kill animation and makes it not cancel sandevistan or anything else. that's how i completed the whole game, mantis blades all the way

Mantis blades finisher problem can be mitigated by qiant sandevistan sold by Fingers in Japantown and reducing almost entire cooldown with heatsink mods, so when finisher throws you out of slowmo you can almost instantly bounce back into demi-god mode by activating Sandevistan again, and even if it's still too much of a cooldown you can just cover it up with Kereznikov. Just some advice for someone loving mantis stabbies too much to let them go, just like me.

I bought the game after 1.5 and pretty much did this build with some slight differences, it's insanely fun.

I've been loving this build with Mantis Blades. I've been using the Target Analysis mod on my Kiroshi Optics so I'm never taken out of Sandevistan early. I had 4 in my inventory, but I think you can get them from Viktor too. I bought the Qiant Sandevisan for from Fingers in Japantown. I've been thinking about going full heatsink mods on it, but I don't know if I want to invest in crafting just for that yet. Thanks for the build!

I'm doing a Sandevistan + Knife only. Since I don't have the perk to make the knife return instantly yet, I use Sandev, throw the knife, take it as it lands, then throw again to another, rinse, repeat. The new knife that comes back in 2 secs is really nice. It's not OP (Sandevistan alone is OP though) but it's hella fun. Specially with the double jump, like playing as Jett in Valorant.

For mantis blades while using the Qiant Sandevistan, I use heat sinks. They are very useful for cool downs incase you get into a kill animation. I recommend using the legendary heat sinks if possible. (You’ll need to have a technical attribute of 18 and a crafting skill of 18, in order to have the legendary heat sinks. Along with the specs for them.) I also add the best nano relays in the game to give me an extra couple seconds when slow mo is activated. Hope this helps y’all.

There are also closing mods that give you buffs against medium to higher dangerous enemies

There’s a ripper doc in Heywood wellsprings that sells “Militech “falcon” sandevistan Mk.5” that slows down time to 30% for 18 seconds and cool down is 60 seconds. The damage dealt is the same but the Crit chance is 20# and Crit dmg by 20% when it’s active. It also has 3 slots. Now there’s a Epic Biomonitor that instantly restores 60% health instead of 50% when health drops to 15% percent and the cool down is 150 seconds instead of 180!

for the blade, i would recommend the Satori. even at low levels, the crit and sandy combo will shred red skull enemies.

I bought this game yesterday after finishing Edge runners, I’ve already put hours into this beauty. When that "in night city" song comes on at night, whilst driving it just hits so differently.

My fav Sandevistan is the QianT Warp Dancer from the Ripper in Downtown. Love using that one with my blades builds. Doesn’t last as long as others but slows time down to 10% which is insanely fun to play with😎

Most of my run throughs are sandevistan with katana…it just never gets old. Second heart which gives full health and revive if you are killed is useful vs one shots when your other cyberwars is on cool-down.

For the mantis blade you can download a mod that adds more blood but it also cancels the execution animations.

Honestly I think using the Sandevistan is pretty broken but I would love to see a Rebecca build. Her Guts shotgun is in front of Arasaka tower in a bush on the militech building side of the plaza. A group of monks will be praying near the shotgun it’s behind them

Been taking some pointer from this build. Tho I mainly leaned more towards the pistol tree over the ninjutsu tree since I’m mainly rocking a samurai gunslinger build and that my main method of executing enemies silently is with a suppressed magnum revolver

The car chase ranged weapon is best to be filled with a Smart weapon, no need to aim, just spray bullets and have them all home in on their target, automatically.

The most broken for me is Qiant Sandevistan mk 4 + Legendary heat sinks + scalpel, you can also add nanorelays to reach 2 sec cooldown on sandevistan then during sandevistan you have +50% crit chance with scalpel plus base crit and perks combining this with camo you one shot everything and you cannot die.

Similar to my build so I'll recommend a couple things: Since you're going to be using Sandevestian alot, I recommend using the iconic Scalpel katana for bonus crit chance and bleed proc while Sand is active, or the Byakko for the ability to lunge to enemies when you do strong attacks, or you can even run Gorilla Arms for non-lethal damage and use the Tsumetogi iconic katana to deal electrical damage too. I run a similar build but I dumped points into Tech Ability instead of Body. That knockdown perk being sacrificed sucks but being able to craft and use iconic katanas is fun.

I go with my main being a legendary katana (Jinchu-Maru because during Sandevistan it's a 100% crit chance along with higher crit damage mods, but Satori is also a good one.) and the other two being punk knvies. Main reason being is that punk knives have the fastest regen time of any thrown knife, and by the time you switch to another the other is already up and ready. On top of using one of the epic Sandevistan that with the upgraded legendary craftable mods from being level 18 in crafting allows you to reduce the time by 4 seconds with each mod. This makes it where you're basically in Sandevistan nearly 24/7. Sandevistan Unfortunately for me I do not have the fingers dr, considering I punched him in the mission so he won't sell for me. Which I've heard he's got the best Sandevistan.

I basically did this, but I decided to max out all resistance/hp regen perks to make myself a blade wielding tank. Once I got 1 or 2 kills with my cold blood stacks on, I can basically stand there and take no damage.

I run I very similar build but use the monowire instead of mantis blades because after 1.52 (I think) the monowire was added to the blades group

I agree with most of what you said, except for two things. 1) Get Int up to 8 so you can get the common Limbic System Enhancement and the uncommon Visual Cortex Support. This'll give you +2% Crit Chance and +12% Crit Damage. With stacked Reflexes and Cool you can get ridiculous crits already, but if you can get Cold Blood to level 20 and start dumping points into Merciless, plus perks, plus those two mods, you can get your crit chance to around 100% and the crit damage to something ridiculous. 2) Use Monowire instead of Mantis Blades. AoE extreme crit damage and it shouldn't kick you out of Sandi Time.

I'm running a similar Katana Build Body: 18 (Points in Athletics for survivability) Reflexes: 20 (Blades Perks Maxed) Technical Ability: 18 (Crafting... Obviously) Intelligence: 3 (Nothing) Cool: 12 (Some Ninjutsu for Dagger Dealer and some Cold Blood) Having an absolute blast with this build, I'm currently at level 49 with one attribute point to be put in Body once I level up to 50. I'm also trying to get my Crafting level to 18 so I can craft legendary mods for armour weapons and my Sandevistan. I also Highly recommend using the Sword that Wakako gives you for completing all her gigs as it has a cool jump attack feature which is awesome when Sandevistan is active.

I would still recommend an investment into rifle perks and a full crafting investment. I have my stats allocated to 16 body, 18 reflexes, 18 tech, 16 cool and 3 int. This allows you to get a balance between guns and swords. Using your guns silenced for ranged takedowns (rifles) and swords for close range takedowns. Then in near combat utilizing sandevistan to clear the field with katanas. Crafting boosts your stats of weapons significantly more plus in the early game playing katana only is high risk.

The only drawback to Mantis Blades with electrical damage (IMHO) is the flash when the shock effect hits. I prefer not to deal with that so I stay with normal damage and the Katana. If you run Sandi with guns and Gorilla Arms you essentially have a Ghost in the Shell build.

I'd definitely say use monowire and not mantis blades, as it gives you massive reach, can attack multiple enemies at once, and won't cut short your sandevistan.

I do something similar with tech maxed instead of bod to be able to make the sandi mods for eternal bullet time with Kerenz and perks. Tech is my ballistic weapon since you get 2 of the best iconic tech pistols handed to you for free in act 1 and already speced tech.

What is technical level 8 used for? is it for crafting mods and the like? So excited been wanting to play with daggers/Katanas been wanting to make a blade build and you have made it look so complete. also where do you find the optical camo legendary cyberwar for future reference since I play on console cannot wait to attempt this. thank you 😄

I don't know if anyone else notice but when you buy cold blood, if you intend on building athletics don't get it, buy it later. Every time I use my katana instead of getting athletics and cold blood, i just get cold blood or stealth points. Yet if I stand somewhere and just swing my katana it builds athletics.

For the knife, I'd go for the legendary Punknife for early game, 2 second cooldown after you throw it, it's really powerful..... It's good to have till you get Stinger later in the game. For the blade, Satori is my personal favorite, but there are other blades, Scalpel, Jinchu Maru, Byakko, Tsumetogi

I need a higher difficulty in the game because this is basically what my build is, just Katana and the Sandevistan from Fingers (ripperdoc) with pretty much all legendary cooldown... all the cyberware that helps with health, etc and the works... I'm totally op and no enemies are a challenge at all.

Looks like fun. Might finally push me out of my comfort zone of avoiding melee. (Nothing against melee - I'm just older and usually assume I don't have the reflexes for it.)

I prefer the Sandevistan shotgun build. Dress as a cowboy and drive only trucks. It was one of the most fun play throughs

Putting this out there, you do not need a knife, katana, or mantis blades. Simply boost your reflexes and use Monowire. I don't even have an "op build", just most of the blades perks, legendary sandevistan and the best monowire you can afford at the time. (I haven't even upgraded, use a rare one and it's fine). Everyone is dead before they can spot you. People sleep on the monowire, but the monowire is crazy good and extremely fast at full charge.

As a body user, gorilla's arms work the same, you just need to use the right mods. Less stylish, more crude, that's how I like it at least

What about mono wire instead of mantis blades (ofc you will still get the electrical mod for it as well) as they do much more damage than the mantis blades?

Just use katana the one that allows leaping from wakako and smart smg and smart sniper you can also use speed increase mods, you don’t need throwing knives at all it just seems to be more of a hindrance than anything, you could use the mono wire instead of mantis blades as they now classed as blades and if you get the sandevistan with quick hack slots you could use contagion, cyberpsycho and suicide as useful quickhacks.

If you get up to 18 in technical ypu can create a sink that means the cooldown is down to 2 seconds

i just started a build yesterday already Level 23 Street credit Level 47 only have got to the mission where we save Evelyn. I have Sandevistan and Mantis Blades no one stands a chance

By far this is my favourite build. However I prefer monowire to deal with groups of enemies over the mantis blade. The mantis blades are just not flexible in my opinion, their more of a direct assault weapon more so then a duelist so I prefer the katana.

I agree that this build is crazy powerfull but it take out a lot of fun when you just go around and easly slash all enemies. But it's only my opinion - for me it's more fun when the game is harder to play and I have to sweat a little to go through every mission 😉 But still - this one is impressive 😎💪

Definitely the most OP build you can get, although I made mine quite different, using the Qian mk4 with a 2 sec cooldown. I’ve had various builds and it even trumps the int 20 netrunner build killing enemies through the wall using ping. Does make the game too easy though, even on very hard so makes it a little boring I dunno.

Kerenzikov is not a good piece of cyber to pair with a Sandevistan, they can sometimes interfere with the Sandy. As far as the finishing move for Mantis, I do not think using a mod to disable that feature is cheating, it's removing an ability, not granting one. And, looking at it logically, your character would have the choice to do a finishing move or not and would never do so while in Sandy-mode, so it's fixing a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place. Mantis blades are faster in this build and way cooler looking. :) I've tried playing it on highest difficulty and have never run into an encounter I didn't destroy. Even accidently killing a civilian and having the police and MaxTac show up, I didn't back down and fought back and I think the police only stopped spawning because I am pretty sure I killed so many cops that Night City ran out and needed to hire more. Heal on Kill keeps you going like nothing else.

I really hate how the finisher animations take you out of Sandevistan. It happens every now and then with my katana, and just ends my whole initiation on combat and kills me. CDPR should make it where it stays full speed in Sandevistan and doesn't take you out. It's very broken at the moment. I never really did like the finishers anyways for those reasons.
