If pressed for time, just to the 2nd paragraph, for my question. So, I was seeing this thing for $106 on Amazon, and I finally decided to pull the trigger on it. I ordered it, then got in to detail on the product page, and it plainly said "brushed motor" so I freaked. Well, come to find out, I'd ordered the legend, the little 2 motor guy. I got kinda frustrated, and cancelled the order. Well, the Thunder was the exact same price on sale. So I ordered the right one, and it was $114 out the door for me. It got here, and yeah, it's the right one. So, now it's jumped back up to $150. I almost waited too long, and screwed myself. Thank goodness I jumped when I did, because it went up less than a day later. Anyways, I am having trouble with it, when going into reverse, or drive from reverse. It hangs up on me. I've got to totally let off everything for a second before it'll change directions. It looked like you had a similar issue when you first fired it up. Did you? And were you able to stop that? Also, I let the little boy across the street drive it for a second, and he managed to bust the front A-arm bracket off the diff housing. I've got an old 104001 in pieces sitting here, and the front side, rear arm mount fit perfectly on the front of the front holder on this guy. I took it, put it on, and took an old dog bone from that buggy, cut it to fit, and left one side on, to kind of hold it in place, and it fit perfectly, and the dog bone end, pushes on the reat of the bumper, and holds it perfectly in place. I also added a motor fan, and heat sync off the 104001 to it, and used an extra radio slot for it, and the other slot for some front lights i had laying around, and they both work, but lights are always on, can't turn them off, but that's ok. Those are the issues I've had with it in the first few days. Thought about emailing them, and seeing if they'll do me like Deerc did on my H16r, just sent me a new one, like it was nothing, because I broke a shock cap. That kicked A$$ right there! But I legit couldn't fix that one, and I can this one, so my conscience is getting me, making me feel dishonest, so I won't piss karma off ya know. Anyways, I'm.... glad ta... be back... on tha... channel! lmao. I dig your content, and I love that you seem like you could live right down the road from me. Where you at? Dude, the 3s batteries came for the hbx 16980SA and it can only be run in a large parking lot and even then the wheels can spin halfway through throttle . 2 s is even fast and hard to control but I can do it . They all said it was a beast . I guess it’s just another 16979 pro but it has a 3800kv the 16980A has a 3500kv and then there’s a 16980 regular . It was like $130 on Amazon and it’s really really fast @ 26 mph in 2s and 38 mph in 3s in a large parking lot . I had to ease into the throttle and then punch it past halfway top speed .
