A little known fact about me is I love to garden. If you are a woodworker or a DIYer and gardener this worm farm can produce 40 lbs of worm casting and gallons of worm tea every month for fertilizing your plants.

Great way to go. In the '50s my great grandfather got me going on worms. Hey that was downstate NY. He kept his fishing worms separate and fed them cabbage. For what ever reason those worms did great fishing. Yellow looks great with the green. But I have found yellow draws all kinds of bugs, including yellow jackets ! Mind your doctors and don't push the back. Take care Chris

Izzy you've offered up help here on this channel for ages and I've been watching from the get-go so I want to return the favour. I see you're into gardening but I have no idea which State you live in so what I'm suggesting may or may not be legal. Cannabis is easy to grow (auto-flowering variety being practically "hands-free") and it may help profoundly with your health issues by reducing inflammation & pain when consummed by inhalation or ingestion. I've been using it for 30 years to help manage my Crohn's disease and it's nothing short of a miracle! Happy harvesting pal!

My dad worked with a guy that raised champion show rabbits. He set up worm farms under each cage. His turn of the century heated barn had rabbits on industrial racks about 16' high front to back, side to side. The money he made from selling the various types of worms he raised and selling the rabbit/worm poop paid for all of his travels showing his rabbits. My dad would take me there to get worms if we were going fishing. It's been 45+ years ago since the old boy died, but I still remember how big and lively the night crawlers were. Great project! I might have to build one for myself so I can take my grandson fishing if we ever get out of covid 19 shelter in place. Can you do follow-up video on YT? I don't do any other social media. Thanks for bringing back good memories that started over 50 years ago

Man I gotta say i'm inspired as fuck by your videos. You have a history of mobility problems (same, I need my left knee replaced). And you always find a way to work smarter not harder. Great example is that table that you where working on "why the hell did he drill that piece of wood to the table?! OHHH SHIT thats smart...". I'm currently just starting out in the field of wood working and hope to be at least half way to where you are by your age (currently 22).

I watched a guy do this except combined a composter and worm farm. He used a plastic water trough (150 gal) that he had elevated from the ground. To get the worm tea out he just put it on a slight angle and put a faucet on the drain plug. Then to get it out all he had to do was turn on the faucet over a bucket or old gallon milk bottle since gravity would move it to the low end of the trough. A pretty large trough so he had so much worm tea he gave it away to his friends. The only thing was he needed to turn what was in the trough with an tool he made that was a little easier on the worms and tube.

Your the first American I have heard call soil, soil. most call it dirt . Here In the UK dirt is sterile comprising of dust where the is no inorganic activity. Soil on the other hand is full of life .In the UK have The Soil Association which promotes good soil fertility. which is what your worms will do because the liquor (worm peepoo ) is full in life and minerals . BTW thanks for the tip on the speed square with circular saw its a brilliant idea . cheers
