I own the M-100 V-Modas. My favourite purchase of 2013, I love them. Although I find they do tend to become uncomfortable after an hour even with the XL pads

Great timing! Mine just broke, it was a great 4 years!

I bought a pair of HD25-1 II's, and they are amazing for me. I don't do a whole lot of DJ'ing but I do a lot of behind the scenes, so when i'm fading in and trying to balance 5+ inputs from mics, instruments, the isolation and ability to separate the sounds is imperative. Durability is amazing on them as they've been crushed under my G750 laptop, my acoustic guitar, groceries... etc. Your right about the claming pressure, and I do wish that the right ear-cup swiveled on them, but it's not difficult to "Torque" them out of place due to the high clamping pressure. They are loud, yet as you said, not distorted. Industrial design doesn't attract the girls right away, but once they put them on... We'll just leave it there.

v-moda, hands down are amazing.

i have the v moda m80s in white and i feel in love the first time i put them on. i had the stanton headphones you reviewed in your last video and they broke within a few months. the v moda is basically indestructable! looking to get a second pair this year. thinking about the true blood version...

I thing v moda m100 deserve the the first place because of everything plus the price,is a little bit more expensive from the others but when you put them with the Sennheiser HD8 v moda m100 still winning.Except that,DjRavine excellent video.

Agreed. The M100s are the best, most well-rounded headphones in the market. Great for DJing, great for gaming and great for casual listening. Just amazing, amazing headphones.

im in love with my V-Moda M100's. If i was to be ultra picky id want them to be a little more flexible for when i only want to monitor in 1 ear, but they are fucking solid for sound quality and strength.

The Sennheiser HD 25 was a long time favourite of mine. They do however lack a bit in the mids. I wouldn't recommend them for actual music production (get the HD600 for that - they are astonishing).

V moda m100s are pretty good for sound quality and comfort

I have the tma-1 beatport I bought them and after 3 months the headband cracked, i contacted aiaiai and they sad that they have got a problem with a production lot so the headband wasn't glued well and the moisture could damage them so they sended me another pair in the retail box for free. After 4 months the headband cracked on the new one so i contacted aiaiai and they sended me a new pair (this time they sended me the tma-1 Dj with mic) and i have this new pair for 6 months and i love them So definitely aiaiai makes good headphone and have a nice support

actually watched the last review and decided to buy sennheiser got on their site and ordered the HD8 DJ after looking at like all of their headphones and gotta say they are absolutely the best I've owned so far sound amazing comfy and very sturdy you should think about getting a pair just saying lol like you said since you got those other ones they been surgically attached to you at the ear thats how these HD8 DJ's are on me i have every one of your mixes and listen to you and cotta non stop and these headphones make it so bad to the A i had been looking for a new pair for a while and didn't even know sennheiser existed thanks for the info and keep the great music coming man been listening to you since your first happy hardcore mix looking forward to more

yes by far the v-moda crossfade m-100's are the best headphones out i compared them to my friends $400 beats pro and he listened to mine and he was blown away he actually want to give me his beats and $100 for mine but yes the best sounding headphones on the market for its price point i use them for studio work and producing music and djing you cant go wrong with these headphones the noise isolation is good and its even better when you have the extra large pads and their really durable

the m-100 headbands should be metal I believe. And to really show how durable the band is you could have bent it like a pretzel because that is what the company claims it can do. I tried it with my m-80's. Nothing broke, it just took the shape of the bend. You can bend it back.

I just picked up pioneer's hd 1500's and they're spectacular. The build quality is probably 8-9/10, i couldn't ask for better sound quality and they're quite comfortable for my head. I haven't tried the hd 2000's but i don't see why you'd need to get better than the 1500 model. There's like a 180 dollar price difference for the mk1's, and 240 difference for mk2's. I have a hard time justifying spending what i did on mine, let alone 450 for the mk2's. Also i have a pair of jvc exxplosions (the older, larger ones) from future shop and to this day they're number one on my list for sound. The bass rattles my brain in them and i love it. Unfortunately they have the split cord which gets in my way while mixing as i like to keep the cord off to the side. Great for everyday use though. Point being that for what you need, the reasonable headphones in this video are around the 200 dollar range, so the even more expensive ones seem really unnecessary. Also if you're new to mixing you don't HAVE to get a pair of dj headphones if you want good sound.

i was listening to the video with my HDJ-2000 ...sounds amazing to me haha it does give headaches for some reason , not sure if its due to the Volume or how very attachable it is to your ears

I'm using Philips A5-PRO(In collaboration with Armin Van Buuren) And I think it's the best headphone for me. Maybe you should test this next time.

If you like the AiAiAi Tma-1's you should try the Studio "Young Guru" Edition. They are studio headphones but they sound great and they're only £200 (don't know the AUD price).

Hi DjRavine! Thank you for such a detailed review. Was wanting to know what you thought about the ATH Pro700 MK2s and also the ATH M50s. I've been looking at the V-MODA Crossfades M100s and they look fantastic, but like all headphones, you need to try before you buy and for the life of me I cannot find a reseller in Sydney. I loved the Pioneer HDJ2000s. They are unbelievably comfortable and have a good sound. However, they fall off of my head. They are a very loose fit, which actually makes the isolation not the best… I wish they were a tighter fit! Please let me know what your thoughts are on the above. Appreciate it DJ Ravine!

You should review Audio Technica's ATH-M50 headphones. I've seen some people review it, but I'd rather hear it from a fellow DJ. I've also heard they are a pretty big contender against the V-Moda M100s. I had used them myself for everything until they broke recently after at LEAST 3 years, and they have great sound quality.

What about the brand new Sennheiser HD8 DJ? They are meant to be the heirs of HD25!

V-Moda uses a steelflex head band. So you can pretty much stretch them from your chin to the top of your head if you wanted to! :P

One thing to consider....the headphones with exposed wires in the band are harder to use for people with long hair because they can trap and tangle hair.

Perhaps do reviews for studio headphones? :D

i have the v-moda crossfade m100 shadows, beautiful headphones and i love the punchy bass they have. In my opinion the mids are a little weak, i mean they are not as balanced as the audio technica ath-m50x's but they are still my daily driver for headphones.

Well, U know ... I think Sennheiser hd 25 are the best headphones I've ever had. I played on lots of models on my head: AKG K81 DJ, Sennheiser HD 25, Technics RP DJ 1200, Beats MIXR, and many many more, but I think, these one are THE BEST !
