This is why I Cook a turkey, or Chicken and mix it in the kibbel, Every food is Bull Crap. That's why I'll fish, or hunt and mix it into the kibble. No kibble is safe for dogs.

Love it thanks I’m in process of switching from sports mix besides the recall few years ago it was great but my dogs no longer are interested. We use kibble all winter and won’t switch back over to Raw until the weather changes!

Thank you for talking about taurine. My lab just passed away because of this exact issue. We did the grain free orijen for most of his life until we found out about the lack of taurine but it was too late. Besides his heart, he was in excellent shape. Absolute best dog in every way. Such a shame. It’s been three weeks and still not getting any easier.

Nice comperison content. To be fare to blue Buffalo bag I did noticed that they do have taurine in their bag on the ingredients list. It's mentioned after manganese sulfate and before manganese amino acid. Also victor mentions Taurine in ingredients list after organic dried seaweed meal, and before choline chloride.

Thank you once again for walking us through and explaining the details for us of these ingredients and labels! *Almost* tempted to try that Orijen brand just for a little topper to make certain our girl (puppy) gets all her vitamins and minerals if we're lacking something. She turns her nose up at any other brand, then again they're all starchy pea pellets these days. I'm sus about commercial food generally but those ingredients look good even with the price tag. Thoughts anyone?

Awesome to see man I just got my new girl she’s a pure red nose and tried of taste of the wild and it seems to give her hives and bumps on her belly I live in Hawaii so imagine all these prices are a lot higher but I think I mite have to go with the orijen. I was feeding our dogs Essence I found it to be the best kibble I could find. Then I came to the conclusion it's still kibble no matter what the bag says. There is nothing like a raw diet I noticed a difference emediatly and it's cheaper than I was paying $110 for a 25lb bag. Another great video Congrats on 100k brother 👏

Taurine is in the ingredients list of my bag of victor hi pro plus. I didn’t slow down the video to check the bag you were looking at. I do think these grain free kibbles need to do a better job of advertising it.

Thank you for all the information you provide. You do excellent videos. I was looking for Wholesomes high energy food from Tractor Supply. I'm presently trying it with a bully pup trying to avoid cheaper foods. It has 26g protein 18g fat 5% fiber 10% moisture, no corn, wheat or soy, it's has taurine, but the ingredients are chicken meal, brown rice, peas, chicken fat, rice brand meal, white fish meal... although there's not a lot of meat, would this be a decent food all considered?

Not when the first ingredient says meal. Meal is the word they use to add feathers, nails, beaks and skin. So are you really feeding chicken?

We have a terrier rescue who came to us eating kibble then Went off his food so I switched him to a commercial raw and that was fine for a while then he went off of that. The vet we saw told me he was probably allergic to the raw and I should feed him a gastric food for a month, so that’s what I am doing against my better judgement. She did do a blood panel and X-rays and all is fine no blockages or obstructions etc. so what do I do now? I am tempted just to put him back onto the raw and see what happens. Perhaps it was just a behavioural thing. We have cut way back on treats.

I just wanted to throw this out there. Upon watching this a 2nd time, I did notice that Blue Buffalo does show Taurine. It's about 2/3 down in between Manganese Sulfate, and Manganese Amino Acid Chelate

I would love for your opinion. I spoke with a guy that said he was a retired animal nutritionist. He said you CAN NOT trust the "protein" on the bag with knowing what the protein was because it may not be the type of protein your dog needs. He said IAMS had the best food. That struck a cord because I was actually working for a company that made a "PROTEIN " additive for livestock feed. Honest to God all we used recalled and out of date ingredients from the grocery stores and bakeries that DOES NOT have meat in it or come in a can. I'm talking bread, donuts, muffins, pop tarts, cereal, cookies, potato chips, etc. At times, even mixed in wheat. Ground it all together and dried it and ground to a powder. That was the "protein additive" that went into the livestock feed.

I'm dropping Diamond Naturals like a bad habit as fast as I can get my dog moved off it. Once I learned to read the ingredients correctly, it was very obvious that you're feeding your dog a bag of flour if you stay with Diamond Naturals.

I’m not getting the overall score? The lower the worst or best? Or 5 is the best or worst? If higher in the scale is best then I don’t get why the lower quality food would be ranked higher?

I don't understand how your ranking it? What's better a low or high score? You gave Purina pro plan 4.25 and other foods with better ingredients and less corn/wheat products a 2.5 or less? I'm confused lol

Legit question, Taste of the wild scored low, but purina scored a 4. How did that happen if Purina doesn’t even use real meat? Authentic curiosity, no offense meant, just don’t understand the scoring.
