Hello does the festool wireless tool control work with other brands that have wireless tool connect? I’ve got all dewalt gear and my plunge saw has the Bluetooth option to hook up to the dewalt vac but would love to know if that would work with the festool vac ?

How do you fit the cyclone to the dewalt vacuum

Hi , it’s just using different connections off the cyclone, we have a box of odds and sods with extractor fittings, sure you can buy variety’s on eBay and the just fit the correct ones on that snap together to connect to the dewalt

I do all sorts of jobs as 'Handyman', some bigger projects that take even 1-2 months in one place and i have problem with keeping the place clean and dust free, mainly because too many tools and poor extraction. I run on Dewalt system hance why i bought L class 18V vacuum but didn't expect there would be no dust bag for it! Also use henry but it struggles with small debris. Preferably Would love that 54v dewalt but had it before but wasn't too happy with it cos of the alarm and poor suction like with Henry. Could it be due using 6amps battery? Im currently looking to get a new M Class Vacuum, what would you recommend? Dewalt upgraded the other vacuum to DVW905M or maybe I should get that 54V again or change to festol? Thank you for help

Hi, yes the Dewalt 54v is great for small uses, vacuuming up too, Dewalt sell a vaccum kit that attaches to this , from our experience if your cutting things constant through the day creating a lot of dust then the 54v wouldn’t be the best option, still a good option but not the best , we do use a 12amp battery too, lasts much longer than the 6 or 9 amps. if your looking for something for your longer projects that will be long lasting, no blockages or alarms slowing the process down and not needing to change or empty regular ….then the DWV905M with a home made cyclone bucket attached is amazing , no dust is getting in to the actual extractor, it’s all collected in the large bucket , we must be a good 3 years in , we still use it daily , the extractor is still like new inside as the bucket collects all the dust. (The cyclone bucket isn’t needed, but does make the process alot easier as your hardly emptying it) you can attach these to any extractor too. We just chose the Dewalt . We got the cyclone attachment online and the sealed bucket is an airtight storage container with a sealed lid - we made and glued circular plywood supports inside the bucket to stop the suction from the dewalt folding it in - as I say it’s still in amazing shape now 3 years or so on - Or Festool …… yes another brilliant option too, can’t fault them at all on performance , ours is still faultless after alot of use Just depends on what main uses you need - For us being in one place at the workshop mainly then the DVW905M and cyclone would be my go to for an all day use of something creating a lot of dust If on diffrent projects regular or moving it around alot then the festool or dvw905m using as normal as it’s less to move around , …. Or put the cyclone on a wheeled base , hope this helps 👍🏻

@@topbuildcarpentry Thank you that means a lot. What Festool M CLass corded would you recommend?

@@imtheone4ya328 No problem at all, it sounds like youde prefer the bigger capacity so I’d pay that tad extra for the larger model , I’ve not tested them all so couldn’t compare festool models, but I’m guessing all of there M class will be in the same league based on our use, as is with all Festool tools, they’re great, I suppose the extractors just have added features and diffrent sizes to read up on before you buy 👍🏻

how would you rate dewalt performance without the cyclone?
@topbuildcarpentry
@topbuildcarpentry 5 ай бұрын
Hi, yes it’s great , but not tested long term as pretty much from the start its been connected to the cyclone as the use of that for us is removing big amounts of dust so the cyclone was our choice from the start 👍🏻
