Are the addons necessary with woocomerce? I downloaded the plug-in and in the walkthrough it recommended a lot like woocomerce tax, google ads, jet pack etc

Based on my experience WooCommerce or Magento 2 would be more ideal. However a Headless BigCommerce implementation would the way to go.

Woocommerce is very fast if you have a high speed hosting server with VPS or dedicated IP with SSD you can get super fast performance also WooCommerce have more freedom and a lot of customization in our hand n own control Shopify is also very fast easy and beginner friendly👍 I like both of them

BC does not optimize images based on new compression algorithms such as MOZJPG. WooCommerce does not have this issue. Shopify not sure at this point. But its big since the images are 30% larger and images have a big impact on performance. Also BC does not use Webp from their CDN network. Why pay for a platform like BC when it does not have basic features... BC also has something called Custom Fields which are a pain to organize and update. WooCommerce and Magento don't have this issue.

If you abhor anything technical and just want a plug and play solution - yes, shopify is best. If you have a even little bit of a tech bug, then WooCommerce is better because it's easy to pick up + customisation is endless

Shopify charges a transaction fees. Isn't it a drawback ? In woo commerce i don think such fee exists. Plz let me know ur take on this

Yes Shopify transaction fees can be higher in their lower plans, but higher plans charge less. On the other hand, the Payment plugins in WooCommerce also charge a small transaction fee - so check that & decide according to your convenience.
