Newest comic book review looks at the best Ed Brubaker reads, so be prepared for a lot of crime noir action!
My picks are (in no particular order):
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Fatale
Sleeper
Criminal: Last of the Innocents
Honourable mention goes Ed Brubaker's work on Daredevil, Gotham Central, and X-Men.
Enjoy!

I think it's great that Ed Brubaker makes a video where he talks about his own best work 😎.

Brubaker and phillips are my favorite duo in graphic novels. I can't find that same vibe with any other series, for any of their work. I absolutely love it.

Agreed. They are incredible together. Just finished reading PULP, CRUEL SUMMER, and BAD WEEKEND this summer/Fall. All brilliant and worth checking out.

Deadenders I think is really good .. I never see much people mention that one I think its one of his firsts.. Although I could see people thinking its boring because its kinda all over the place.. But I relate to a lot of the stuff in that book so thats part of the reason I love it. I like Fatale a lot too but I admit Deadenders and Fatale are the only two of his books I own/have read. I want to get the one that came out after fatale that takes place in hollywood like in the 50s (cant remember the name of it right now)

what about Criminal, is that a good graphic novel to add to my collection?

Jason Paulin I'm definitely a fan of Criminal (have both the issues & the trades/GNs). The last volume is my favourite!

+Martin Woreczek Incognito is a GREAT read! I try to pack as many reviews/books into each vlog, but I'm always having to pick and choose between which books I should highlight. Honestly, I don't think I've read a Brubaker story I didn't like.

Do you have any comic books?

I do! I publish (and write occasionally) comics through my company www.uysfaber.com/. We do both digital and print issues. Going to be set-up at the Montreal Comiccon at the beginning of July (which is an awesome con to attend).

I'm surprised you didn't mention Catwoman.... But it's quite Obvious you are a marvel fan so I guess I shouldn't be surprised

Catwoman is fantastic read that unfortunately I just don't have in my library yet. :( Behind me is but one of 4 similar bookcases, and while Captain America is definitely my fave hero, I think I have more DC (read Batman) graphic novels than any other company. These days though, its Image Comics that getting all my money. You?
