I could see having molds with 2D shapes likes crosses, GPR logo and peace signs. You could pour your own jewelry. I've worked in the casting industry for 25 years, stainless steel and titanium. Titanium melt temperature is over 3,000 degrees. The molds would soaked in an oven for hours before pouring the slurry into them. Yes, please get some good high temperature gloves, maybe even a face shield. Happy smelting. That smelter looks to work very well. Thanks for sharing.

Dang...Titanium has a melt temp over 3k! I've been welding for 30 years and have wondered about the melt temps of metals like titanium and tungsten. I believe tungsten is in the neighborhood of 6k. I love welding stainless with a t.i.g. welder. Such a clean process.

@@JustJeff420 When welding up defects in the Ti castings we would use a tungsten tip welder (TIG) for our welding. Those welds look awesome if you have a good welder.

@@BlueOrion-X Yes they do. When we drop a nice bead we call it dropping dimes cause the weld looks like a stack of dimes spread side ways. Love TIG welding.

I recover gold from electronics and definitely agree with you The small amounts are better in a melt dish A couple months ago Dan Hurd was trying to melt up some small bars with his electric furnace and was having a hell of a hard time I just wanted to tell him to throw the furnace away and just do it in a melt dish

Thank you for this video great pour and product results. Did you use 1 crucible for all 3 metals or 1 for aluminum, 1 for copper and 1 for gold? Another question did you temper or season your crucibles prior to the 1st use.

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about getting a small smelting furnace like this. The only issue I see with this is that proprietary crucible. I found this same furnace sold under two different names, but am yet to find spare crucibles. The few websites I found don't have them available. I really like this furnace, but I think I'd rather have one that doesn't take a proprietary crucible.

If you have gold material that contains other metals ( ie; it is 22 carat gold), can the melting process be used to separate gold from the other materials?

typically no. the only way to purify gold is through chemical processes that separate it from other metals. . these processes are dangerous and produce deadly vapors which is why most people are unable to do them safely.

I’ve used it about 35 times East! Same Crucible! Everything in the machine and the crucible can be swapped out if they break! But it’s the best of the best! With that kinda model! They also Have an Italian friend who makes a model like this but very expensive and does the same exact thing! Good thing with this purchase it from Amazon and you get a great warranty

I’m definitely not selling this furnace! I stand by this thou, kicks ass! Works awesome and heats up pretty fast! I’m into all precious metals! The more I can hoard and save the richer I’ll be down the road! If I can save 200 1/2lb bars of copper, and 200 pounds of aluminum and brass, then I’m ahead of the game🤙 I’ll always get my gold, but gold is rare and coming across copper is a lot easier thru downtime! I make all my available time hoarding time! I greatly appreciate your support and your watching the video! I think this machine does it job! That’s all that matters to me! I know of a few who brought it and I can say I had nothing but the same results as what I’m using it for!

You’re actually one hundred percent...... Wrong... LoL This smelter is a beast! I’ve used this smelter about 85x times! Loads of brass, copper, silver and gold! It also is fully replaceable, and interchanging! Everything you need god forbid it breaks of fails, in the late future! Easy and cheap to fix! But it’s thee best electric smelting unit out there! Everyone has there own opinion, a lot of my followers have brought this same exact one! And no complaints! Gold melts in moments, dude it gets pass 2100’s degrees! Watch more of my videos!

@@HSO-ro3bd 3kg is 3kg no matter what you put in! It’s the total mass! I use it on copper & brass and it’s completely full to the top with molten metal it can pour 6 pounds easy! But getting it full to the top will stress the unit because you’ll constantly be adding more an more everything the metals in there Melted! Meaning your constantly running the unit at full blast to exceed the 6 pounds in one shot! It’s faster n safer to add one full container thats 3 pounds with a pour! Maintaining the unit is the real challenge, you want to keep it working for a long long time!
