WOW!!! That $100 Gold Coin is worth (depending on where you look) $500 - $1000 Canadian... Very Nice find, and the fact that it has Meaning to you because your Grandpa worked that rig, makes it more valuable to you if you keep it...

Beautiful collection. Always enjoy your videos. You impacted my life a great deal, while in the hospital and I nearly died, listening to your videos even in my sleep, I learned a lot. My recovery, still, 2 1/2-ish years later, and I'm buying and selling vintage (mostly) items, and having fun selling them. I quote you, badly, and probably too often, but under a different, unassociated YT channel - not looking at riding anyone's coattails even a little bit, just wanted to send my occasional shout out to Alex and folks here, and say thanks, again!

@@TiptonMama for sure. I got a concussion at 21 and have had problems ever since and I’m just about to be 61. I have been disabled most of that time but I got married, had kids, hobbies, friends etc. It may be a new normal but it doesn’t have to be bad. Keep trying!

The American pennies prior to leave 1962 had a different stamp on the back that are called wheat pennies. They're 100% copper and some of them are highly highly collectible. Especially if they have a D stamp above the date. So if you don't know about that just thought I'd share.
I work at an ice cream shop at our local zoo. A customer paid with Sacajawea gold dollar coins. I asked customers if they would like them instead of the dollar bills, most were happy to get those. Some of the government vending machines also issue them as change. FYI; US replacement notes have a star on them we call them star notes.

Fun collection. The U.S. walking liberty, although yours is in pretty rough shape, is a beautiful coin. The only better looking U.S. coin is the $20.00 gold St. Gaudens. The $1,000 note was incredible. I’ve never seen one.

Out of curiosity, is there a guide or a book covering vintage marbles? I had at point in the past purchased a couple small jars of marbles from either a thrift or antique store and I’d like to see if they are vintage.or collectible. I also have a larger container of marbles from possibly the mid fifties to maybe the early 70’s. I need to downsize but I’d like to know what they might be worth if anything, before I do.

Back in the mid 90s i worked for a vending company. Filled and serviced soda and snack machines. Since I didn't have a full license I would dig through the bills and coins between stops. LOOKOUT ERROR COIN. The millennium oval quarter monthly coin set had an error. I can't remember exactly which month, but mine I ordered from RCM had an error. At the time I sold for $150.00 for that one quarter! Thanks for sharing the collection, so fun😊
@scottcanaan24848 ай бұрын
The error was that the obverse dies used on some were from regular quarters, so they have no date. There were three of the provincial/territory quarters made like that in the 1992 set. Depending on how lucky you were, you could get a set with one, two, or all three of them. I got lucky. Mine has all three errors.

@@scottcanaan2484 cool..do u still have? .do u remember what months. So exciting when u first discover 🤗 👍
@scottcanaan24848 ай бұрын
@@lisa-fg8zh I was wrong, it was the 1999 set. I do have it still. There are 2 months that don't have a denomination (25 cents) because the wrong obverse die was used. They are September and November. The set I got from the RCM in December, 1999 happened to have both. Sometimes you get lucky.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 actually Alex Canadian Tire money can be worth a lot of $$. One from 1989 went for reserve auction $3000. $2 ones can be worth that as well depending on serial #’s. So may want to research those as well!
@scottstewart38848 ай бұрын
I don't know if it would matter or not, but Most of the first couple years of Toonies produced might be worth a little more then normal as well just because they had the "error" of possibly having the middle part fall out under certain, non normal use, circumstances. (Landing the "wrong" way after a drop, or subjected to severe cold.) I had one for years that I had found out side at -20 or so. When I picked it up, the Middle stayed on the ground. Just the heat from my hand was enough to make it so I couldn't put them back together.

Just curious if you will put a minimum at auction on the $1000 bills to ensure you get at least the face value back. That way, if you do not, you can take them to the bank to get back the full value and pay for your investment.
