Things like this make me physically uncomfortable. Her teacher is seriously setting her up for an injury. Even the walk out at the beginning is completely wrong. No one walks out en pointe like that. She should have been on demi pointe. And then her feet are pointed all wrong, and her body probably isn't even mature enough for her to be wearing pointe shoes at all.

Read until the end: Though she was extremely messy, I completely blame this on her teacher and her parents for allowing her to do this. She definitely has some talent but this variation is far too challenging for a little girl, many professionals would even struggle with it. She should not be en pointe this young, it will possibly ruin her career if she keeps going on like this. Her attitude needs some toning down, but the effort was fantastic I only hope that she finds a good ballet teacher who will take her best qualities and let them shine by fixing all of her technical errors and going back to the basics. I feel so bad for this little girl, she was exploited terribly, hopefully she will keep dancing after some of the rather harsh comments made by a few.

Either way, the poor little mite had no business attempting such a difficult piece, that even most adult ballet dancers struggle with. But she's showing a lot of courage, and panache. She's got a HELL of a lot of stage presence, and I really want to know what she's doing now. Who cares if an 8 year old is pointing her feet (if it really hurts your eyes then stop watching).
