yeah but coco peat is really not good for indoor plants (when you keep the plants indoors) as it holds excessive water and doesn't dry up easily, which causes root rot. Coco peat can be a good alternate for plants if they are getting at least 2-3 hrs of sunlight.

@@saliimmohammed9152 cocopeat is used all over the world for indoor plants as a cost effective and sustainable alternative to peat moss so it's not like it can't be used. Both peat moss and cocopeat are well known to retain lot of moisture and we just need to adjust our watering schedule accordingly. These mediums are known to retain moisture without being soggy. Add to that airation ability and it's obvious why plants love them. Having said that, obviously peat moss is slightly better and I even agreed it's a more premium alternative. One key difference is the decomposition rate. Cocopeat normally remains cocopeat for 3 to 4 years but peat moss remains peat moss for way longer. However, this doesn't mean that we need to change the potting mix after 4 years as by that time plant has well developed rooting system and even at that stage its converted to loose soil which is again good for plants. Apart from this sometimes cocopeat has high salt content and sometimes it has some chemicals added to it. All this could make the pH unstable so peat moss is better if you can afford it. The point was that all the top ingredients are used in this potting mix which has made the cost 200 per kg. That's too much for almost everyone specially when it comes to indoor plants as they need large pots. Lastly it's not like cheaper alternatives are not available for these materials so I simply requested for another cost effective and practicle potting mix

yes completely different. Coco Peat is dried and processed coconut fiber. Peat Moss is a dried form of living *Sphagnum Moss* . Some people also mix a few varieties of mosses to make peat moss. Coco peat is way cheaper than peat moss (Sphagnum moss). Peat moss is a better growing medium for plants than coco peat as it only holds sufficient not excessive amount of water like coco peat.

Mai khud apne plants ko is soil me lagata hu . Indoor plants ko lagane ke liye aap is tarah ki mitti me lagaye ....50% mitti 30%sand 20% compost kisi bhi tarah ki ......ap ye soil mix use karen isme plant acchi grow karenge .....aur indoor plants hamesha bhot kam .....khad mangte ha . Bas aap har month me ak mutthi ....gobar khad ya vermicompost de de bas vahi indoor plants ke liye kafi ha.
