I would swap out Verve for any defensive augment as its a flat 30 and not a percentage buff like in the first game, while either defensive skill is a 30% increase. or take the mystic archer augs for defense

Fighter's shield doesn't have defensive stats. It's classed as a weapon and has weapon stats.

I prefer gutting skewer over fullmoon slash. Climb onto the boss weakpoint and spam gutting skewer and watch the boss's hp melt. The dmg is comparable to the thief's dmg. Just bring some stam recovery items. The augment, verve is actually really bad. 30 str is nothing. I prefer the 2 augments of 30% physical and 30% magic defence. It scales way better with best in slot gear cuz its % and not a flat 30 str from verve. The 15% knockdown resist is also a must aug for me.

It’s started clicking with me today, and i swear I’ve had way more fun than any other class. It’s a rush of adrenaline when you perfect parry an attack and destroy the enemy. I like the other classes but there’s no challenge to playing them. Vengeful Slash just embarrasses enemies.

If you make your pawn a fighter, then I would suggest switching out a skill for Shield Drum, as Shield Drum will draw the enemies attention to your pawn. I recommend replacing Burst Strike with Shield Drum. I am working on the warior now but will get to the sorcerer after.

Your Pawn will manage their stamina better than a player would, so instead of giving them the stamina augment and the weakpoint augment, give them Mettle and Provoke. Coupled with the rings for more aggro, your Pawn should always have the attention of the enemies. Also, don't give them the meister ability - Pawns become really tanky and do really well with hindsight slash of counter slash. If they are Straighforward, you can literally just let your pawn fight everything for you while you pick grapes and harspuds of the ground.

@b1mute382 It's not just that warrior can kill faster, but it also can fill the tank role, so it brings more damage, more knockdown capability & with both of those advantages can literally maintain aggro so much easier than fighter. As a fighter fan it pains me to say that warrior is just a better version of fighter.

Lethality only gives a 5% damage buff. I'd drop it for something else.

I disagree. That 5% scales with weapon, weapon upgrades and elemental enchants. When scaling a boss and spaming gut and skewer on its head aka weakpoint that 5% goes a long way. Also using the fighters final skill on any dragon's heart with that 5% dmg boost does good dmg esp cuz the heart counts as a weakpoint. Then you add ice enchantment from mage onto your wep (dragons weak to ice) and that 5% scales even harder. That 5% is way better than just the flat 30 str from verve augment.

I'm a die hard warrior player in any rpg. It's always my go-to in any video game that has the option for a 2h'er. I stuck with it for 103 hrs and hated it. How slow and janky it played, always drained of stamina, and missing the majority of your attacks. Makes me wish I started fighter.
