I love ascots, although I've never actually tried one myself. I have one friend who's really into fashion suits (not my thing) but he can rock an ascot with them all day long. I think it looks best with a jacket as opposed to just a dress shirt on its own. I'm all for experimentation though, light it up, big homie!

It's great that these companies are available for the price of an OTR shirt. I agree if you can find your fit OTR save MTM/MTO for when you want to get deep into detail. To avoid information overload, I'd approach designing by 1st having an idea of what I want in mind rather than what they offer and work from there. Ascot huh? You are wearing w/ confidence and that is the only reason it looks good on you. Experimentation is fun. I have zero experience wearing and I only see them on stage/movies/ magazines worn in period pieces like The Great Gatsby, euro Bond villains, & Charles Worthington III types, There are some older, distinguished, salt and pepper haired brothers that can rock em. But I don't think they are suited for the under 50 crowd w/o coming off as a costume accessory.

Worse decision I made. I wanted to save and will end up spending more. The suit I ordered does not fit, it is huuuuge. I will have to spend more than 100 euros to fix, and I think it won't fit very well after fixing anyway.

Are you able to see through the white shirt if you don't wear an undershirt? Is it a thicker cotton?
