Trying BareMinerals Barepro foundation on oily acne prone skin. I am trying the foundation wet and dry to see how both techniques sit on my acne skin. I also have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from my acne, so I wanted to see what coverage this would offer my inflamed skin.
I am using the shade medium warm 30, which was the previously the shade sandstone 16.
So, on paper this looks like an AMAZING foundation for acne prone skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, reactive skin!

Could this be the best foundation for acne prone skin?
A non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic foundation! As well as a talc free POWDER foundation. I was sold! This foundation can be used wet or dry. I tested both and will have a detailed video on my channel soon.
After testing the foundation both wet and dry, I think I will stick to using it dry as I found it slightly harder to blend when it was wet. However, the foundation doesn’t give you specific directions when using it wet/damp. So perhaps other application methods may offer better results.

I have tried the new version and yes it’s messy but has a lot coverage. A good fall/winter foundation. Seems hydrating. I think the loose matte is more matte and I like it in the summer. I think the loose matte is more dry. Just depends one what form you are use to. The loose is less messy to me but i have been using it for ages. ❤

Thanks for sharing!! That's a helpful comparison! I was surprised by the fallout for a pressed powder as the previous formulation barely had any fall out! 💖 I might try the loose matte in the future.

Your peeling because of the way your applying it. Try to apply it in circle motions. And use a flat dense brush. My skin is like yours and it works only with circular motions on the face. I apply the foundations then apply fix plus only on my face. If not it will be chunky looking.

It's given me horrible cystic acne on my chin. I'm so disappointed, as I've never had this sort of reaction with makeup, and this foundation isn't cheap. If anyone has recommendations, I'll be so grateful...

You’re likely sensitive to one of the ingredients, for the original formula it would be bismuth oxychloride. For another formula it would be something else.

hey kaycia, may i ask you a a question abt adapalene? (even though it has nothing to do with the vid 😅) is it possible for the purge to be on and off? or should i get that checked?

Hey, purging with adapalene is possible as it is a retinoid which helps unclog pores and sloth away dead skin cells. If you are purging on and off it might be a sign of irritation, skin barrier damage or something else. I would definitely advise you to seek a professional's opinion!

Aww thank you! Pilling is technically more of a word for material/fabric that balls up but it’s also used to describe when a product does a similar thing (balls up or flakes on the skin).

It has Shea butter in it though which makes me hesitant. I might try it out any how🤔

I didn’t know that! That makes sense actually as I do still find it gets somewhat “oily” as you see in the video. It’s not mattifying but I can confirm from an acne prone girl this has not broken me out! I’ve worn it may times so that would be my main “feature” when recommending this foundation. 🤗

Any recommendations for mattefying powder foundation? Trying mineral foundation but I find that there is a lot extra shine that I don't need where my skin is already too oily. Would really appreciate it ❤

Hey, I haven't found a powder foundation that fully keeps the oils at bay. I do love the mattifying liquid foundation by Maybelline though. It has clay in it to help absorb excess oil. Maybe worth looking into their powder foundations?

Try baremineral matte mineral foundation,it is not shiny and helps control oil :)
