Remember folks, by January of 2024 this fig tree will be completely prune down to roughly a foot above the soil in this container. I will not leave it like this as I should have pruned it much sooner. Stay Tuned

My Kadota is 3 years old and is well cared for…it produces a large breba and main crop but neither are edible. I’m hoping it’s just due to its young age…I’ll give it another year…before it’s beheaded.

Be honest if you're having an issue with birds. And I would put a net over my figs tree

Shalom Elder. I noticed on one of my fig trees where I accidentally "injured" it, soon after it started new branching and leaves starting from the same area. I was curious about this. You explained it here, thank you. I will try the notching method you shared. Before I do, wondering if you know would this negatively impact fruit ripening of existing figs?
