I watched a video yesterday of a 3060 12g vs 4060 8g on forbidden west and the 4060 at times had a little higher fps but some times the vram maxxed out and it slowed way way down lower than the 3060 ever got to. So i can fully understand the hate. Newer gen cards should have higher vram than past gen cards.

That's not true. On average the 3060ti is actually equal to the 4060ti in gaming fps. If it's the 16gb 4060ti then you could see higher fps, but for a much higher price.

I got a lightly used 3070 ti for 320. Can't beat that. It was used for dinner minor CAD work on a 3D printer station for a college course for two semesters, then they were upgrading the systems to 4080's so they basically chose to sell the 3070ti's at the school's original cost to anyone that was a student or student's family. Pretty sweet deal.

The fact is that the rtx 4060 is a good gpu. It may be weaker than the 3060 ti, but it does its job in being superior to the normal 3060, even if just a little, and because it is updated and has dlss3, And cheaper, With a good processor it runs almost all current games, I don't understand why people criticize this card so much, it is now at a good price for what it offers.

@@Shameer-xm1rg If your going to be doing heavy 3D work the 4060 is going to let you down with only 8GB's of VRAM while the ARC can have 16GB for the same price. I still think the ARC would be a better fit for what you'll be doing if you have a limited budget to work with. It also helps that the ARC with it's 256bit bus will have much better memory thought put and can crunch modeling workloads much quicker then the 4060 which is stuck with a puny 128bit bus and something like half the memory bandwidth VS the ARC.

6700xt asus TUF version user here. this thing litteraly can't even get hot... WAY worth it. I usually play games 1080p then upscale them to 4k and even the big titles i still get 65-80FPS and some select titles i am still getting over 160fps. the big esports games are all over 400fps on ultra at native 4k. AMD has had a few buggy drivers here and there but they have usually fixed them within a week's time. I would buy again, and again and again.

AMD 6700 XT is an RTX 4090 level GOAT! Impresses me more than AMD’s 7900 XTX, honestly in many aspects. Paired with Intel Core i9 14900K, an under $200 GPU, stable 60FPS 4K!!! Don’t bother with 8K though with the 6700XT,for that you need a 7900 XT and up from AMD or NVIDIA . Yet it’s still a GOATED GPU for its price to performance value, the 6700XT is the best value in the GPU market.

both are good to pick but if the price is same and you would be doing other intense tasks like machine learning, graphic designing, 3d modelling and also high resolution gaming the wider bus width and the vram of the rtx 3060 12gb will surely give you better frametimes in games and much smoother experience in machine learning and other stuffs. As the rtx 3060 also got the dlss 3.5 update many moths earlier so you need not to worry about new dlss feature. also framegeneration mod was cracked by moders so you can enjoy all the stuffs of the rtx 40 series in the rtx 30 series as well as the 20 series. This is my experience using two gpus in both mine and by brothers computer both are good cards. if you are sbout to only game in your pc go for rtx 4060 and if you are building your pc for universal stuffs you go for the rtx 3060 12gb. *stay away from the rtx 3060 8gb*

4060 is for 1080p max monitor and 3060 12gb for bigger resolutions. 4060 better for newest games with dlls 3,5 but only small res.

In my country, i don't understand how could is possible that the most mayority of amd cards are so damn expensive in comparison with the nvidia ones (4060 here could be at the 400-500$ range, and the amd alternative is over that amount).

It's decent. Not great but far from bad. If you can selling it for about 200-250$ I'd say get a 4070 SUPER and that will last you a long time.

The 4060 is one of the best when it comes to power efficiency, i still don't know why people hate it so much. I'm buying next month for around $300 I may spend a little bit more than the video's $290 but I'm gonna be saving money on having a lower TDP than other GPUs

In tests of games like Hogwarts Legacy, last of us, which consume more than 8GB of memory, the 4060 is already starting to lose to the 3060 by 12GB, and then it will get worse. So it will quickly lose its relevance. In other cases, it is 5-10% faster than 3060 and usually costs more

2080ti has same number sm as 3080, double fp32 but that's unused for most gaming. Can be had for ~300 and with a shunt mod will last a long time for 1440p or 4k non raytraced

I just got a 6750xt (same price as the 6700 just slightly better by a small margin). And goddamn is this thing worth it. I’ve yet to find a game I can’t max out the settings on.
