Hello @The Guinness Guru new subscriber here glad i found this channel as i love Ireland , my Granny is 95 from Dublin originally now in the UK and the Guinness is keeping her going strong , she has dementia but still enjoys the Craic and sings along the Dubliners old band but very fun to listen to.

I visited Carrick on Shannon in 1997 and I loved it! So many boozers in such a small place. This video has brought some great memories back of that trip, thanks Guru! I do have to say that back then, the best Guiness I had on my Ireland tour was in Enniskillen. I stopped at a lovely old girls house next to the Railway Station in Carrick . I had a good chat with her and she thanked me for that because the other 2 rooms had Europeans in there and they didn't talk. She offered me a whiskey and I opted for a Powers because I'd never had it before. Lovely! Her cat called Jack came in through the cat flap and just stood next to the milk dish. The old girl said don't worry Jack, it'll be there in a minute! She put some milk in the pan, warmed it up, and then put it in the milk dish. Jack is not moving! She then gets the Powers whiskey bottle, fills a cap full of it and pours that in to the warmed milk and stirs it. Jack the lad is now on it! To this day I have never seen anything like it! Thats why I loved my Ireland trip!

I think when doing multi-pub tastings, or any tasting really, start off with a canned guiness poured as best you can in a glass. That way its a base line for all the pubs to come, and there isn't any "bias" in your mind that the first guiness automatically will be at an advantage.
