Hey fam!!!!
This video is about my list of the best hair products for length retention and hair growth for natural hair. This covers many of the things I use for my type 4 natural hair routine. I’ve spent the past year really focusing on growing my natural hair back after unfortunately having to cut 11 inches of it off after suffering a lot of breakage. These products work well for me and I feel they are good products to recommend. Feel free to ask me any questions, I try to answer every comment.

Yes! You’re the first person I’ve heard say that about the detangling brush! Omgosh I just got 1 a cpl of weeks ago and I’m seeing so much breakage. I need to get a wet brush that you showed.

Hello 👋🏾! My personal experience has shown me that the wide tooth comb works best for me and my daughters hair. The Detangling brushes just pull so much hair out and leave me dumfounded every time I use them, and I’ve tried a lot of them. The wet brush is super great when it comes to smoothing hair to set styles, which is why I like it as a secondary tool only. I just don’t know how people detangle without breakage with those brushes, but more power to them. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Agreed! The wet brushes broke my hair off so much l thought l was the only one that can’t use them, the tangle tweezer one is the worst. Finger detangling and using a wide tooth comb works for me too.

Oh no! Sorry the wet brush doesn’t work for you. Is it because of the balls at the end of it? There is a den man brush I recently purchased that doesn’t have those balls at the end of the bristles like the wet brush does. That might work for you better. I tried the tangle teaser and didn’t like that one.

Finally I've been looking for someone with the same kind of hair like mine I don't have very voluminous hair it doesn't really grow thick and outward it kind of slugs down but it's long ,and I also forgot all about mane choice I have to start back using it

I need to buy a new wide tooth comb and a wet brush. I agree a lot those of the brushes cause breakage and snagging of those curls during detangling. I’m still learning how to care for my natural hair. Tbh, braids have helped me with length retention and growth. I’m due for a trim soon, but I’m excited to see how long it is. Do you have any tips for thickening the hair around the edges/nape?

Yes the wide tooth comb is the truth for me! For the edges and the nape my advice would be to reduce as much tension as possible on those areas because they are the most prone to breakage, thinning and overall damage. You can use rosemary oil and gently massage it into your edges. Mielle organics has a high rated oil.
