I can genuinely say those of you who have this amazing store in your backyard I envy you. There's absolutely nothing close to this in California or at least where I live in California. Thank you for sharing this amazing store with the rest of us.

Kudos to that shop owner , it takes a lot of effort to run that place , dedication pales in comparison to describe that shop . Thanks for taking the time to film this and showed to us non kentucky resident .

I lived in Louisville in the late '80's and '90's and this shop started in the basement of an old home that had been converted to commercial property (I think the main floor was a dentist's office). It has come a very long way.

went there this year during Wonderfest and was really impressed with the variety and scope of their stock. Regardless of your hobby preference they litterly had something for everyone. Well worth the visit.

This has been my go to hobby shop for about thirty years.

Man, Tim. That place is AWESOME. You have to know that it is a big deal when I say this, "I AM JEALOUS!".

So great that some still exist! I owned a hobby shop 20 years ago, for 3 years. At that time internet purchasing was relatively new and I started getting asked to compete with online prices, more & more as time passed. But of course I was expected to provide the service, that the shop had provided in a smaller town, for 20 years prior me owning it. Small shops were unable to go online as cheaply & easily as they can now,. My policy of service (almost only) what I sell, helped people remember the service, that they were missing online. I'd spent countless hours in magnificent shops as a kid, hoping to recreate that for some kids in my shop. Single mums sure appreciated the help. But I took the overall hint and sold out, for what it had cost me to acquire. After making a modest living for 3 years. Other shops came & went since, all learning it's not so easy. Now everyone sells online regardless of size etc. That transition period to online selling, was very difficult for many. Also my risk tolerance for small retail is & was low, I'd never be betting my house on it!

Tim, Thanks for the FULL TOUR. You are very fortunate to have such a great hobby shop available to you. This is what I remember a hobby shop to be in my youth. This is so much more enjoyable than ordering on line. Which I don't care for . Do you know if they will ship items? Thanks again for the tour. Rick

I dropped in today, what a great place!!! I mentioned that your video was what sent me there and they had nothing but nice things to say about you. I spent over $250 and they gave me a 10% discount just for driving all that way to do some shopping!

We are very lucky to have such a great hobby shop. I've been a Scale Reproductions customer for over twenty years. I'm a R/C guy but a few plastics too.

Myself and a few friends come to Louisville every year for Wonderfest. We discovered this shop a few years ago, and even though there are a number of good shops around SE Michigan, this is now a regular stop on our yearly visit.

I grew up in Louisville..this was my goto hobby shop after highland hobbies closed...Brian is the best..i live in San Diego California now.. And i miss that place allot..

Every time I go to Louisville I always stop at this hobby store. I always buy kits,paints,and what ever I fancy. A hobby store such as this is a rare jewel to savior.

We're lucky to have this shop here in Louisville. I lived within walking distance of Scale Reproductions and I would often go in just to enjoy being there.

Thank you for the tour of this classic place I would visit there once a month while transitioning from Illinois to Tennessee at least 12 visits! Can't wait to do a road trip back 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🏆

After I picked myself up off the floor I finished watching the video ..... then I thought about the incredible amount of aftermarket parts and supplies and the money a guy could save if he was able to purchase his parts and supplies under one roof ..... and the savings in shipping, not having to buy things online. I get lost in my hobby shop.....if I went there you'd see my picture on a milk carton ! 🤣 As always, great video. Appreciate ya !

I ever win a lottery, I'm buying a huge store, fitting it out like this and just going to live in it. Don't care if I don't get much custom... I won the lottery! Spend the rest of my days just putting model kits together.

Wow,reminds me of the Hobby Shop I grew up in back in Clearwater,Fla,The House Of Hobbies,only more clean! The 60’s was a good time to be a plastic modeler!

Man what a great shop

It's a great store run by a great group of people. It's worth the drive, with good local places to eat. All departments are very knowledgeable in their inventory, if you don't see it, they more than likely can get it. SEMPER FI

Great video! I live 3 minutes down the road from there. I work on the other side of Kroger at that strip center at Wicks! I go there for everything!

Hell of a shop there, Tim!

I live in Lafayette, this is 2x further than I'm used to driving. Cookeville Raceways has a good model / RC selection, and so far have always had my RC parts. Most importantly the parts and RC vehicles are same price as online!!! That's massive to me, just gas + time cost I guess you could say, but...Instant gratification going into a Hobby Shop.

Makes me happy to see an open hobby shop. Here in Michigan, we used to have lots of them. However, the people who used to frequent the have left the state. Now, all that is left is video game stores.

I definitely have to plan a trip soon

The hobby shop display at the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) museum in Muncie, Indiana is great. It’s a recreation of a 1950s era shop specializing in flying model airplanes.

Oh man. I go to Louisville every year for Wonderfest and NEED to go.

I made it 5 minutes in and couldn't see, because there were so many man tears in my eyes. 😥 I'm out in So. Cal. and I haven't seen a hobby shop that magnificent in years! There are still a small handful of good, small shops I can go to, but I remember one roughly that size back in the 80's and it was heaven for me. I hope that things may turn around, and the hobby gets the kind of attention and support that it used to. It's possible. I have a nephew who's about 17/18 and he was heavily into Lego... now I understand he's very much into plastic models! Hope for the future. 😉

These people have a bunch of rc parts that big shops like hobbytown don't. The guys here are also experts in the rc hobby and they usually know what parts you need.

Just moved to Louisville. I have this place saved to go check out when I get some free time.

Thank You for the video. Living in Indianapolis this might be a road trip destination. Hobby Shops are becoming a thing of the past (like myself!!!!)

I've just randomly come across this video.... Wow! My local shop here in the UK is fairly large and well stocked, but I think that the entire shop would fit in just a 3 or 4 of the shelves shown here...

Big truck models are my favorite and hard to find, I’d love to go to that shop.

It's probably THE ONLY HOBBY SHOP in Louisville Kentucky now! My brother buys his slot cars there.

This is my local shop. Great for everything. I switch hobbies all time and they always go the ones I hop to. Rc first, then model cars, then gundams, painting, etc etc.

Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove, CA and Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair, CA used to be like this. But no more. They stopped carrying a lot of the aftermarket stuff.
