I am shocked we did not get any discussion about the Red Wings from this past week outside of the Chelios jersey retirement night.. the boys are on a 6 game win streak had some incredible comeback wins and jumped Tampa in the wild card race and now just 2 points behind the Leafs for 3rd in the Atlantic.. dare I say hottest team in the NHL

Detroit has been one of the top 3 teams in the league since the new year and they literally haven’t mentioned them since Perron got suspended. The podcast has turned into just a superstar pod, it’s just leaf’s and matthews, oilers and mcdavid, pens and Crosby and maybe some ovi talk. It’s so frustrating that the wings never get mentioned.

historic ? it was a regular season game in february between the worst team in the league and a playoff contender. Yeah, Chelios went up in the rafters and Kane returned to Chicago first time as a visitor. Pretty cool ending with Kane on a breakaway but historic? that is a bit much

20 podcasts so far this season & the Wings have been talked about 8 times. To give a comparison: They’ve only talked about the Stars once. This podcast is basically a podcast about their bandwagon teams (Leafs/Oilers/LA) & will mention teams that make headlines.

I can’t see Winnipeg jets selling any less season tickets next year with all the new season ticket packages available now and with how good the jets are doing this year. Before this season started everybody thought jets would be shit (which is why nobody wanted to buy season tickets for this year). Last couple games I’ve went too recently have been sell outs.

And the kid’s 21 years old and still getting his shots in- just because he got his lunch handed to him in columbus doesn’t meet he didn’t stand there taking a pummeling to get a few of his own in against arguably the toughest guy in the league. Sometimes that’s how it works - he’s also getting a lot of punches in. And I suggest you go rewatch every single one of his fights- respectfully it doesn’t sound like you’ve even watched all his fights. This kid has literally fought himself onto the roster by going toe to toe with these guys- and chances are he’s signing a decent contract in a couple years if this is how he’s going to play.

I asked the same thing. I think he is just being hard on himself. He probably did some liquordale blow with fent in there before the interview and it made him feel sluggish/not sharp. I can imagine it’s tough when you have one chance to sit down with someone and you don’t feel like you’re firing on all cylinders

I understand your point. In Canada that's 11-12. You could have a 150lb kid early through puberty concusing a 70lb kid pretty easily. Seems more logical and safer to wait till post puberty.

Puberty hits most 12-14. So kids now are learning to hit when size differences are at it's greatest. The consequences of learning are more severe. Start them earlier when puberty hasn't yet hit everyone.

Yeah, it's the weirdest thing with Jack Edwards. I'm a Flyers guy, but hearing him the past few years, it LEGIT sounded like the man had a stroke or was suffering from some kind of neurological condition that affected his speech. Biz describing these kids coming up that are third and fourth liners these days as "vanilla latte's" was perfect and how I've felt for awhile , I've just been describing them as default players like in a video game for years, nameless faceless nothing they just fill a spot and add nothing. at least a decade and a half ago the leagues third and fourth liners had character, they were fighters or just grinders or big personality guys nowadays they are none of those, boring.
