I’m definitely not the best person to give advice on a super heavy trigger because I am totally at the other end of the spectrum, so I would see if you can try one and make sure it goes heavy enough for you. I’m sure it will as it has a lot of adjustment! And it goes to what I would consider very heavy, but everyone is different!

The release itself is the same size it’s just the buckles that you can get bigger or smaller :)

So I just looked up the extinction 2 and the ones I tried would have been the first model of that. Ans I broke 9. When it worked I liked it, but I don’t want to shoot something that I can’t rely on when it matters. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@PaigePearceinsight Reliability is a big thing. I wish shops around here carried one to try, but I think I will just order one and go for it. I know you said you didn't feel the locking mechanism on your face and that is what my worry would be so I am glad you posted this video. Thanks again for the advice!

@@MO-fd8vz yeah I promise you won’t feel that cocking mechanism so you would be good there! I even tried some custom done stuff with the Stan and just couldn’t get them to last. The way there hook was engaged wasn’t consistent so sometimes it would hold and other times you would get punched in the moth half draw. But they could be set light! I just figured I would share with people what I found best because not everyone gets the opportunity to go shoot the top few from each company. So I figured I might be able to save some people some time and money by sharing my experiences :)

I shot the wise guy as that is their best release. Of all of them I actually loved the feel of it and you can get it set very light! What we found was that with that system I don’t think the jaw hook was getting out of the way (off the D loop) that fast. Which just looking at how it works that’s no surprise. But a few of us tested it and while it felt great everyone’s groups went from the size of a Fita 10 to like the size of the whole 8 ring. Which was frustrating because at the time this was before the execution was launched so I really wanted that wise guy to work! But there was a big issue with forgiveness factor compared to other release models. And yes we did retune and all that stuff with each release so it wasn’t that. I think it just hung up just long enough it wasn’t ideal for target. Hopefully that answers your question!

I just haven’t tried those! I tested anywhere from one to a few releases from each company and I shot Tru ball, Carter, Stan, spott hog, and Scott. That is what’s readily available here in the states so that’s what I could get my hands on. There were literally shoots here where I shot 4 different releases in one tournament because some would break or misfire etc. I spent basically an entire tournament season walking through all of those. And with one company for example 9 of their top releases broke on me. Like same model, tried 9 of them, and 9/9 broke and punched me in the face. It was an experience lol.

Is the execute still in production?

Way to stick it out for all 9!!😉😁🤣 Good video, I have used the execution before and really like it. It is one of the few that can be set very light and hold that setting with no worries of failure like you mentioned👍

So they were making changes to it to try and improve it so as that would happen I would get the newest version and give it another try. After that many I was bummed because I really wanted that one to work! So I ended up moving on to the next lol

I did. The like mike doesn’t go anywhere near as light even with custom springs. And because if the mechanism the trigger poundage would never stay put it would continuously get heavier and heavier. So from start to finish at a tournament my release was always moving on me. The execution actually stays put 👍🏼

I haven’t yet. But I think it will be awesome for what it is! I wouldn’t use a tension release like that in competition probably but I think it’s so great and will help so many people cure target panic. This is an old video I filmed like back in April and forgot I had, so I just finally posted it. So at that time that new xtension release didn’t exist haha

Woah okay that is a total first for me! Definitely haven’t had that problem! Lol I would maybe call them and ask if this is okay, but the cocking mechanism doesn’t pop out very far, so I wonder if you could stick some like loose tape over it so you can still push to cock it and it has room to pop back out, but your beard hair won’t get in it?? Just a thought but I would guess something like that could help!

@@PaigePearceinsight also, I shot with it today, and I just can't get the trigger light enough. The adjustment screw is backed as much as possible and it's still pretty heavy. Do you know what I can do?

As a hairy, bearded bastard I can say that I don't seem to have the same issue. 😅 Is your draw length different so that you end up with the mechanism at the middle of your face? Very curly beard?

The release touches my jaw. My beard isn't long at all and i wouldn't call it extra curly, idk. I wasn't happy with the release because I couldn't adjust it to be as light as i wanted. Anyway, I'm glad that it doesn't affect you :)
