Thanks for the review. I have several indoor Reolink E1 cams, the pro and zoom versions. Good cams for the price and no subscription fees to fully function unless one wants more cloud storage. Reolink is releasing it's first doorbell cam in a few months.

Whoever asked that question I would just go with a ring stick up cam! Easy battery change out and have them in multiple rooms etc. it has its own stand that can be made into a mount. The 1080p is decent in this day in age. Audio and video is fine. I don’t think the other cameras are any different in terms of sound and mic. I talk to my family members on the ring cams when I go to the store and it’s fine. Ring will soon come out with an indoor drone camera!!! That’s gonna be even better. Some day it will come out lol. One thing is that animals don’t seem to react to the audio on these cameras. Doesn’t scare them etc. I have tried to scare off dogs in the alley and they just look up when I’m talking on the camera. Perhaps the drone might work if they come out with an outdoor drone camera. But I would probably use the upcoming ring drone outside anyway regardless if they say it’s indoor only. I liked the nest cameras recording 24/7 but their battery cameras are internal batteries. You have to charge the whole camera. Take it off etc. too much trouble and what’s gonna happen if the battery goes completely dead? Have to buy a new camera? Ring stick up cam is probably the best option out there.

These are definitely some great options! However, there really are a ton of different cameras at and around this price point they can do some pretty incredible things and don’t actually require a subscription. Aqara has a pretty incredible pan and tilt to Kaye camera that’s also a security alarm and Zigbee Hub with gesture control and facial recognition. It’s bonkers!

I have Reolink and Eufy Indoor cameras, and prefer the Eufy. With the auto tracking and privacy mode, they are nice, plus, I have them mounted on the ceiling making them hard to get to.

It looks like Nest for the daytime shot was creating more focus on the window and darkening inside. The other ones seemed to be allowing the washing out on the window so it seems to be preference but if someone came up to your window you would get a clearer picture with nest and ok inside.

Iam looking for an indoor camera that is good to look through a window and has 2k or 4k recording and have colour night vision any suggestions please its a bit of a mine field

One thing that bugs me about the Nest Camera is that it uses your phone's call volume and not media volume and there is no mute button. It can stream great to my Google Nest Hub but it is not compatible with the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 (eufy works on it, but all streams outside the app are limited to 5 minute duration).

Best seemed the best in both audio and video to me, it was a bit darker during the day, but great. Arlo I almost felt my $20 Wyze can is better.

Arlo sound from 25 feet away is unintelligible. Incredibly useful information since I want to set up a system to communicate with an elderly parent who may fall and we need to talk with them. For my application, Nest is hands-down the winner. Thank you *so* much for showing these side-by-side comparisons. Shocked that the Ring sound sucked so much. Have they improved it any over the past year?

I have to agree on the nest camera. However Steve I have a question. I love the ring App where you scroll through the even recording compared to the individual clips on the other apps. Is there any other indoor camera out there that offers that kind of app with the scrolling? My son has seizures and it is easier to see if he had any. Hope to hear from you. Oh and thank you for all your videos

maybe better on headphones, but I found the Nest sounded far batter watching this video on both my laptop and television. Arlo may be clearer, but far quieter. Sticking with nest here. Review settles that. Thanks!

Thought the 10/25 feet test Arlo sounded too soft n Nest sounded the best of the three. Informative n interesting upload. Kudos for vid. It will help me decide which inside cameras to install. Anticipating ur next one. Peace

I was totally an Apple eco system person. But also used Google on my iOS devices. Main phone is a Pixel 7 Pro. What I like about Nest - they work just as well on iOS under Google Home app, as they do on Android devices. The same can't be said for Homekit secure cameras/devices.

We had Arlo for a couple years, great system for sure. Looking in the market currently, I found Eufy. I have replaced the doorbell(no interface with the house doorbell) and front of the house/driveway camera. Great video and quick connection. My indoor choice, Eufy 2k HD WiFi PTZ camera. $50 on sale. Couldn’t be happier, PTZ and great audio, crisp video. Sold

I thought Ring had the better video with time stamp. The Nest had better audio. The Arlo audio sounded very low and the Arlo video was more blurry.

None of those are great options in my opinion. Expensive cameras that only record in 1080p and with a subscription plan on top of that. I switched my Arlos for Reolink E1 zoom and Reolink outdoor cameras last year and I’ve never regret it for a second. Not as plug and play as Arlo but so much better when you’ve have it up and running.

The comment on date and timestamp are a deal breaker for the other brands. Doesn't matter what you see if it can't be used to protect yourself. Ring it is!

Really like the Nest indoor camera! I’d like to start adding cameras and smart home accessories but also looking at Vivint? Could you do a video of best smart home “starter pack” things to incorporate? Ex: doorbell, lock, indoor/outdoor cameras, security? Like where to start if you have nothing! Lol

I’m curious why they put worse hardware into indoor when many outdoor cameras can outperform so much Just for the sake of form factor

These are all awful, I hate how the bitrate is only 2-3mbps maximum with no possible way of increasing it. If someone actually breaks into your house you'd have no idea who they are since the awful bitrate will make their faces blocky.
