One thing I hate about case reviews.. is were all here to actually see the case, meaning all four corners front and back and maybe some close ups. You and so many others immediately put the phone in and start flipping it around somewhat then move on to the next case. Bummertown.

Apple talks about ewaste for reason not to include charger but if I have an iphone that I wanted to sell, it would be nice to be able to seel with its charger knowing that new one comes with iphone 12.

I talk about this in the video, and in the video I posted today. There are so many variations of cases, it's impossible to demonstrate this. Most thicker cases won't hold on to the magnet. It's a magnet. It works just like any other magnet would. And it's not a very strong magnet either. Check out my iPhone 12 Pro "24 Hours Later" video. I discuss this more in-depth, but yes I do speak on this topic during this video. Basically, you're better off waiting for MagSafe support on your favorite case brand.

The problem with removing the charger brick is that most people aren’t upgrading from an 11 (which was the first to have the usb c block) . Everyone upgrading from older phones will not be able to use previous bricks with the new cable. So they’re either going to buy a brick or just use their old cables. If they kept the brick in the box for a bit longer, more people would have a usb c brick.

I am leaning towards the iPhone 12 Pro 256GB this year to upgrade from my iPhone 7 Plus 128GB. If I do get that, I might as well get: - Apple Air Pods Pro (I don't like bean shape of the Galaxy Buds) - Anker Lightning to USB-C - Anker PowerPort Atom PD 1 [GaN Technology] charger - Otterbox Defender Pro case - Otterbox Amplify Glare Guard Screen Protector I usually go with Anker for my cables, chargers, & external batteries. I usually go with Otterbox for my screen protector and cases.

Noooo. Great review but was hoping you would test the MagSafe charger on the totalee cases. I wanted to see how strong the connection was since the case is so thin. Any chance you could try this?

It will charge regardless of how strong or weak the magnet is, but it's not going to be better than a case with MagSafe. Thinner cases like this are totally fine and don't seem to affect the magnetic properties.

I love the Totallee cases. They’re perfect if you want to maintain the phone’s shape aesthetic. Once you use them it’s hard to go any bulkier.

I like the MagSafe Charger only because it'll be harder to fray the wires like the normal Lightning cables where after it a while it just dies.

I got the rapitic case and love it. But it seems that the metal frame cause problems with the signal of the phone. Because I change my phone twice thinking it was the phone and as soon as I took the case out, it seems that the phone works better. To sad, because I really love the way it looks and it really protects the phone. Let me know if you notice something similar with your rapitic case too pls.... 😃👍

I had the Raptic case on my Note 20 Ultra, and although the sides and the metal portion feels great, the back gets scratched easily. I don't even put keys in my pocket and under a week the back was scratched up pretty bad. Definitely not going on my iPhone.

PLEASE PLEASE show if the cases (as Flossy Carter would say) are Slam Proof Certified? Do they have enough lip on the front of the case so you can place it facing forward to protect it AND see the back of your iPhone. Like your videos but this should be case reviews 101 my friend. If only magsafe charges your phone faster than the lightening cable. Then I would get it and if the magnet is stronger for the charger and wallet. Tested the phone out with the wallet.... wallet falls right out of the pocket when putting the phone in the pocket....

Why did Apple release such dumb colored magsafe cases this year? It doesn't even match the colors. The Pacific blue with a completely different shade of blue case. And Gold doesn't even have a good color option case.

I explained this during the video. Magsafe works on most any case. The magnet's grip will vary to a degree per case. The thinner the case, the better the magnet grip. It's a magnet, so it's similar to using two magnets between paper. The more paper, the less it's attracted to the opposite magnet. You can actually just hover the iPhone over the magnet (not touching the device) and it'll pick up the sensor and trigger the charging.

Agreed. That’s what I came here for. Now I know the MagSafe will work on all these cases, especially the totalee, but I wanted to see how much stronger the magnet would be on the smaller/thinner case compared to what the apple case with the actual magnets can do

@@Kicksta711 It's the same principle as any magnet. The more space between it, the weaker the magnet will be. These aren't special "Apple magnets," they're just magnets. I honestly didn't think it would be that much of a question, but I did explain this in the video as well.

@@dom fair, but I think the reason we are asking is because we can’t see how strong the magnets are and seeing how strong for each can be a big buying point. For example, I am planning on getting the MagSafe wallet but hate apples clear case and wanted to see just how much the case would take away from it, with the strength of the apple magnet already in question

@@Kicksta711 MagSafe wallet is TERRIBLE. (As shown in the video). I would never in a million years trust my cards in that thing. It fell off, just testing it out pulling it out of my pocket at the Apple Store today. Magsafe doesn't grip too much on its own. It's mainly meant for light use imo. But yeah I did explain this stuff in the video about different cases and whatnot. Every case works with charging mostly (unless it really THICC), but yeah thinner = better if not "MagSafe compatible."

Most are just too overpriced. Amazes me that some people spend $50 on a plastic case and another $30 on a screen protector. 10% of your phone value for some cheap ass case and screen protector that will fail in time

@@dom its okay😂 it fell from like 2 feet, i was getting in my car and it slipped out my pocket in a walmart parking lot, it might have just been the phone tho, the 12 is supposed to be stronger anyway with the ceramic plating, it might be more reliable now, or the phone had some kind of imperfections, theirs multiple reasons it could have cracked, i was just salty cause i had just bought the case to be able to show the back of my phone

To be fair even as a person who is using apple for the first time I don't think it is bad they had left out the adapter for the USB-C charger, because in the end if they would have added that in the box they would have to charge more money as well.
