I changed my phone settings to Japanese, and in the middle of watching this video, I got hit with a Japanese ad and didn't even realize it wasn't a part of the video until I tried to check the time stamp to match something I read in comments.

It's interesting because I lived in Japan for years and I never thought their commercials were weird or anything. They're just something that we see on TV everyday. I'm back in my country now, and I am starting to see why people think these commercials are a bit crazy, but they still look normal to me lol. I mean, I've always thought that Tarako song is catchy but nothing else. I didn't realise it could be seen as creepy, until I saw non Japanese people reacting to that commercial.
