I am a retired pastor and I have a joke similar to the airplane one. Two men are ship wrecked on a small island. One of the men was upset and crying, "will die here why aren't you scared"? The other man replied, "I go to church every week". So says the other do you expect God to come down and save you"? No replied the other man. "you see I tithe all my income to that church".
