Let's be honest Michael chandler hasn't gotten the respect he deserved since he signed with the ufc even though he's been one of the best in America for years and tony is not what he used to be, it wasn't the finish we expected but it was the result we could all see coming

I think its Dana fault in a way sorta treated him like a showponny/posterboy for him to walk in to the ufc and have a fight for a belt so early rub a few people the wrong way when there lads who've been working for it for years.. I know I'm gonna be called a hater for this, but part of that is Chandler's fault. Fighters personalities are really important for the casual fan like myself, and personally I find Chandler a little cringe at times with the things he says and the way he acts, cringe in the sense that he doesnt seem as genuine as some other fighters.

Tony looked sharper than ever, he was actually faster to the punch than Chandler. Tony was moving around and looking to do damage, and not just hanging back trying to absorb a beating. It looked like a typical Tony fight, where he absorbs damage, but with his giant cast iron hands and elbows from hell, he was inflicting some pretty good damage on Chandler early. Chandler admitted in the post fight that "Tony showed up." He knew that if he hadn't landed that kick, Tony's cardio and toughness was going to make it a pretty hard fight for Chandler to win. I am not going to write Tony off yet. There's no way to know what version of Tony's soul reincarnated into his lifeless body - he later admitted that he didn't "wake up" until he got into the locker room. When you get head trauma that extreme, it's a near death experience. People who have near death experiences, sometimes they "return" as a completely different person. I'm just not going to doubt Tony after seeing how sharp and powerful he looked in the 1st round.
@wj5488
@wj5488 2 жыл бұрын
I think all that sharpness got taken away by the ko. If it wasnt for this brutal ko, he could have come back later this year, looked better than ever and gone on a winning streak with the mindset he showed before this fight took place. But since he got finished in that sort of way, I feel like its time to hang it up.

Love your videos Geordie but saying we don't get the fights we want and fighters don't fight regularly is bs. Most fighters fight at least 3 maybe 4 times a year, quality match ups like chandler Ferguson are on most ppv cards aswell. I think the main issue is the fighters dont get paid enough so can sometimes be difficult to pin big names down to certain fights.

Yan vs Sterling Olivera vs Gaethje Usman vs Covington Adasanya vs Whitaker Texeira vs Blachowizc N’ganu vs Stipe That’s the last title fight in each division off the top of my head. Literally THE best fights they can make. The matchmaking could not be better and the ufc puts boxing to shame.

I was so scared about possible neck/spine damage due to the way he was hit and then how he landed on his head and cranked his neck the other way. That's how American football players 🏈 lose movement in parts of their body's.. Is from compressing their neck vertebrae in really intense ways.
@Ritalie
@Ritalie 2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe the amount of head trauma he must have experienced from just the fall. He landed head first and his head smashed down, right on his forehead. His neck twisted in a weird way too. One of the most violent knockouts you'll ever see, is when that skinny guy with the mullet hair cut, he was knocked out badly and snapped his ankle by twisting his leg in a horrendous, gross angle underneath his body on the way down. It was similar to Conor falling and seeing his leg give out. But it was from a bad fall, after being knocked out. One of the worst knockouts was Darren TIll. Darren's head smashed so hard on the canvas, he is a tall guy, and he fell like a tree, and whiplashed his head at full force, and it literally bounced.

Look Geordie, being able to ignore negative comments and not have them affect you becomes apparent when you stop talking about the people hating and actually seem less frustrated. Giving those things time and a response in your videos demonstrates to everyone that they are still getting to you as much as you try and neglect to admit it. You wear your heart on your sleeve man. Take some time to ACTUALLY move past caring about these things so you can make content that doesn’t seem patronising or quit.

As a brown belt in BJJ, I am shocked at how little this “expert” knows about fighting.

Brian mate… This intro is a bit upsetting to see. I know you’re having a laugh and it’s mainly taking the piss out of the so called “boxing/mma experts” that call you a casual all the time in your comments section. But if you truly didn’t care what they thought, you wouldn’t be acting like this. Maybe I’m wrong but just take into consideration what your actual fans want to see rather than trying to take the piss out of the haters. I’m sorry if this comes across as hateful in any form. I still love the content Brian! ❤️
