Idkkk if more luxury is better in k-beauty. I saw rave reviews on Misa Geum sul but my face burns with it on. I’ve never had that sensation with any product other when my skin is damaged. K beauty cheap products always left my skin better 🤷♀️ I wonder if it has exfoliants, and my moisture barrier is compromised 🤔 I wish they wrote that on the bottle... use with caution if ur sensitive to exfoliants?

For me 2019 was the year of K beauty as it was my first time trying it out. I started tretinoin this year and needed to switch to fragrance free/EO free products. For me the most loved product of the year is the Pyunkang Yul essence (an essence was a new step in my routine and so hydrating), which I've now used 2 bottles of having started using it over six months ago. I have very dry/dehydrated skin and use at least two layers morning and night. I really liked the sukoyaka suhada urea lotion in the Spring/Summer months but have switched to the Vita B5 for the Winter as it doesn't have HA. I used the missha time revolution essence these past few months, but will try the mugwort one next. Klairs watery oil drop is a new favorite as is the Benton eye cream over the last few weeks. I envision 2020 as a K beauty year for me, trying many more products and finding new faves. Best wishes.

The cream skin refiner surprisingly works well for my oily dehydrated acne prone skin! It does take a little bit more time (not that much but i suspect a LIL longer than for combo dry skin) to absorb but when it does settle its SO beautiful. No tackiness no greasiness but leaves my skin soft and supple and balanced. I use it as moisturizer, last step in my routine. Absolutely love it!

I am so grateful I’ve had your videos this year to help me along the way when I have been getting deeper into Kbeauty. I definitely ordered the Keep Cool Bamboo toner time try it out, and I definitely cannot live without any of my Krave Beauty items especially the Barrier Relief & the Stratia Liquid good. I need those in my day/night routines. I also needed some extra moisture during these cold months so the Skinfood Propolis royal essence is definitely phenomenal and so glad you recommended it. I have a back up of it but the next time it comes back in stock I’m grabbing another! I also love and need the Primera miracle seed essence, the I’m From mugwort & honey masks! I have so many I could name but I have found amazing products this year including the Illiyoon ato cream. 💜💜💜

Do you think you might get more views if you mention "essential oil-free" in your vid titles?? I think there might be an untapped audience out there. Yours is a really niche concern and I've never found anyone else catering to essential oil-free Asian Beauty skincare. Great video btw and I'm happy you finally found an acid that works for you.

Good idea! Those essential oils are everywhere, and a lot of us don't know too much about their negative effects. Just learned from a Mixed Makeup derm.visiting on the show that Bergamot oil can make you sun sensitive and WORSEN HYPERPIGMENTATION. Thanks Kelly for doing all the research to find great products that are frag. and e.oil free!!!

That is why Kelly is in my opinion the best k beauty skin care channel. I hope her channel blows up and sheds more light to a very important topic. Even those who do not currently have sensitive skin can develop allergies later in life or with EO/fragrance over use. Also EO/fragrances are expensive ingredients, that expense is passed on to consumers. Fragrance has no skin care benefits and I hope with more consumers speaking out will be phased out of skincare.

I'm currently using an oil cleanser by Watsons (a known pharmacy in some asian countries) it is free from alcohol, fragrance, paraben, SLS, silicone, AHA, MIT and MCIT. It is only around $10 in my country. And it only has 12 ingredients. This is currently being sold in Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines.

Oh man I literally just made a yesstyle order yesterday haha. I really enjoyed the keep cool toner when I had a sample of it! It's so light but so hydrating. Will definitely be purchasing a full size once my toners are done. I just ordered the illiyoon moisturiser yesterday, can't wait to try it!

I love the texture of the muni sensitive cleansing oil as it doesn’t drip and is fragrance, alcohol and essential oil free. I do intricate eye looks and it takes it off. It can even get rid of house of lashes lash adhesive which is notoriously stubborn.

You should try the kose softymo cleanser! The 200ml refills are 6-7 dlls, so half the price of the hada labo :) it's also super gentle, essential oil/fragrance free and very effective!

Yay, a couple of my products made the list. I'll have to try the Hado Labo oil cleanser next. #1 product that surprised me this year is a new one, I started a Vitamin C and had to try and find something REALLY gentle. I got The Ordinary Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution. No sting, no burn, no reactive redness.

Purito green line was the biggest discovery for me in this year. Love everything about it. All of their products are so soothing and calming and feel like a soft blanket over my skin. Since I’ve started using them I haven’t had any breakouts, my skin is plum and hydrated. Also, this year I’ve tried Klairs Midnight blue cream and it was like “where have you been all my life” kind of feeling:D Anyway- thnx for all your videos and the insights and recommendations in 2019. I stumbled upon your channel recently and I have to say I love everything about it! I'm obsessed with good skincare and so have scoured KZfaq for great skincare tips and products. I love the content of your videos, the delivery, how informative you are without rambling on... everything! I was also looking for a combo/dry skinned gal on retinoids using products to help soothe irritation & peeling without essential oils. You hit them all!! Sorry if I'm rambling but I just wanted to let you know how much I love your channel and product recommendations. I wish there were more KZfaqrs like you and genuinely appreciate what your recommendations have done for my skin. I purchased the Missha artemisia essence and Purito centella unscented serum, and these two have dramatically decreased the redness & irritation I have been going through with tretinoin!! Please please please come out with recommendations for MINERAL spf50 PA++++ sunscreens without essential oils!! (I'm not a fan of chemical spfs like the Purito one you mentioned). Looking forward to many more videos from you!!

For me it was the Cosrx Rice overnight mask, Melano CC essence, Cosrx AHA/BHA toner, Senka foam collagen cleanser and the Milky Dress eye cream that were my favourites of 2019. I also quite liked the Mizon collagen lifting cream, firming cream and serum for anti-aging skincare. I want to really try that Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Essence but it's always out of stock on Yesstyle.

I so wish it worked for me :( I have extra sensitive skin and it really irritates me. I thought I’d be okay with it even though it’s a chemical sunscreen but my skin just can’t handle them. Will try their mineral one soon and hope it works for me!! Was so bummed.

Im a toner girl just like you and there are 3 that worked magic on my skin. 1) I'm from Rice toner (i know you're not a fan of it 😅) 2) Acwell pH balancing licorice cleansing toner 3) Some by mi galactomyces vitamin C toner. Omg these have changed my skin like no other. Other products that really worked for me are: 4) Hanskin PHA cleansing oil 5) Neogen Cica cleanser 6) J one Hana beauty cream 7) By Wishtrend enzyme powder wash 8) Klairs blue midnight serum drops 9) Skinfood rice wash off mask 10) Kanebo suisai beauty clear powder wash and 11) Cosrx Balancium comfort ceramide cream

My product of 2019 is Torriden Dive-In Serum. This hyaluronic acid product replaces my Hada Labo Premium Lotion. Like Hada Labo, it has 5 types of hyaluronic acid. But unlike Hada Labo, this serum is packed with panthenol, madecassoside, madecassic acid, beta-glucan, ceramide NP and cholestrol. Also, it's pH 5.5 and has a subtle blue tint from the extract of malachite.

Subbed!! More people need to know the power of Hada Labo + Kbeauty! I have been using the facial cleanser for 5 years now and not only is easily accessible, cheap and good looking, it doesnt dry out my skin after washing!! I will definitely get the Missha essence soon and will definitely try out the Hada Labo cleansing oil that you reccomended since Im also looking for a good and cheap cleansing oil that’ll last for a year hahahaha. Gosh, I was so excited when I bought the purito unscented centella sunscreen because everybody on KZfaq kept saying it would be great for sensitive skin even though it’s a chemical sunscreen... well.. not for me! I have extra sensitive skin and as soon as I apply it my skin reacts to it and gets so so irritated. I’m going to try their mineral one though and hope it works for me!!

my favourites would be... the cosrx galactomyces essence - I keep talking about it but god does my skin love it and I really feel it now that I 'm reaching the bottom of the bottle ;-; my skin feels so strong with this ! the cosrx bha liquid : so good at getting rid of the congested pores on my face and is hydrating and gentle??? so good the purito unscented centella sunscreen ! you said everything that needed to be said already it just ticks all the boxes. The olivarrier comfort cream ! it has been a game changer in making sure my dry skin stays hydrated ps : I'm just like you when it comes to shipping... why pay for it when you can just have one more product instead

I'm curious about the Hada Labo oil cleanser, but I'm using up my stash of Simple oil cleanser that I bought up when they discontinued it. I am using the Hada Labo Gokujyun HA cleanser and I'm blown away by the fact that it's a foaming cleanser that doesn't dry my face out. I didn't know these exist.

Hi Kelly, I love your channel. I wanted to make some skincare recommendations that I really think you would like. Cezanne Skin Conditioner High Moist - this is an amazing Japanese ceramide toner that also contains cholesterol, amino acids, 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid, collagen and other goodies. Make Prem Idebenone Ampoule - this contains a ton of ceramides, fatty acids and idebenone, which is a synthetic and easily absorbable form of Coq10. Paula's Choice Omega Complex Serum - this looks like the holy grail of barrier repair, in my opinion. Tons of ceramides, fatty acids, skin identical ingredients, etc. I haven't used it yet. Also I'm super into urea for barrier maintenance right now. I'm using the Eucerin Roughness Relief Lotion and the Sebamed Extra Dry Skin Repair Lotion. I'm also using the Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing MLE Cream, this is the version without essential oils, and it's fantastic. I know the version with essential oils didn't work for you so you might want to give this version a try. I got it on Amazon Prime. Lastly, I find The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors to be absolutely fantastic for barrier repair and maintenance. It contains amino acids, phospholipids, urea, triglycerides, and a bunch of other skin identical ingredients. Might want to check these out!! Keep doing your thing. Much love from Michigan 💜 xoxo

i have a question....how 'authentic' is P&L? is it newer, for the Ulta market, or is it just now coming into the western awareness??? SOOOO many good, affordable K-B items.....let's see if Kelly can recommend purito/Benton/Cosrx/Mizon, etc. that might cost less and do more>?! Glad u asked ur Q, i've been wondering......

I bought 5/10 of these products based on your past recommendations. Do you still recommend the purito cleanser? Its hard to get the krave one as i'm not in the US.

Hope you liked them! I personally don't use the purito cleanser anymore since it contains tea tree oil. Take a look at the heimish cleanser, it's pretty good!

sometimes those spray bottle attachments aren't recyclable, which is sad. Do you have a different bottle you have used you could switch it to once you rinse?? Whole Foods have nice blue glass reusable with a spray. Just fill bottle with water, spritz clean water through attachment, and voila, you are in your own spa.

Great video, and you basically created my shopping list for 2020! I’ve been loving the I’m From products this year - the honey mask, mugwort toner, and rice toner. The feeling I get using I’m From Rice toner sounds similar to your description of the Laneige cream - would you use them both on dry skin or choose one for a single routine? Thanks!!! 👍🏻😀

Best k-beauty expert ever! If I need help I come to Kelly (now dealing with hormonal acne so I need a lot of help) I am currently using keep cool toner and used soon Jung before, I still can't say for sure but I think I like soon jung more, it puts my acne at ease around my chin.

Did you skip the intro or was I just not paying attention? Either way, it's a good idea, it's really harsh and disruptive, always hated how it was so much louder than the rest of the vid. Good video by the way, I wish I could try Krave products but... you know, Europe.

I only started skincare second half of 2019 and keep testing things, havent found anything that’s my favorite yet but I repurchased the jumbo size of soonjung toner bc i like it sm! OH AND THE HADA LABO CLEANSING OIL AND HADA LABO UV WHITE GEL

Wow, my wallet is now crying but I know what I will spend my xmas money on. I bought a cream from Purito a week ago and it is called sea buckthorn 70 vital cream, but as the last ingredient listed is orange peel oil. Should I stop using it because of that? I use it to mix my sea buckthorn oil in to. They seem to work well together but the orange oil is now worrying. I started on this October , and I can see huge change in my 46 year skin.I have learned so much from yourself and James Welsh as well. I so wish I could get my hands on Krave, but I can't get it in Australia 👎🏻😏. I can't wait to see your videos in 2020 and see how far I can take my. Merry Christmas and a happy New Years. Lots of love from a Swede living downunder, suffering the at the moment as today's temperature is going to hit 46c or 110f phew. I will be okay under the aircon browsing YesStyle website, which I do 2-3 times a week anyways.🌲🎁

Arbutin is the most effective for discoloration due to the sun. I like the tiam arbutin blending powder.

The Miracle Seed Essence is good but probably overpriced for what it is. It is very soothing and hydrating but not much else. It is a very solid product.

It's a good sunscreen but it was a bit too drying for my dehydrated/dry skin. I'd definitely rec it for oily skin types though!

Yeah I've been trying to find essential oil, alcohol, fragrance-free AND cruelty free oil cleanser and moisturizer for super dry skin. I think Neogen's cica oil cleanser fits all the criteria but finding a moisturizer is sooo hard. All the ones that are super nourishing and cruelty free are usually from all natural skin care brands but they load them with essential oils

Yes, the green beauty brands are full of essential oils, plant extracts, and butters and break me out. I have mostly cruelty free skin care but the Illyoon is the one thing I think I'm keeping that isn't. My skin just can't handle much in the green beauty brands at all

Hey Raven! Have you tried Olivarrier extra emollient comfort cream or Rovectin Barrier Repair Cream? Both brands I believe are cruelty free and both are lovely nourishing and fragrance free options!

I bought illiyon moisturiser because of the amazing reviews and I have dehydrate and dry skin and I thought this moisturer will be amazing but it dos just the opposite in my skin,itched ya after I woke up I had kind of wrinkles from dehydration and very dull skin and I don’t know why I try to like this one but that’s no posible . Any tips?any recommendations? I’m very confused 🤷♀️ btw I love ur videos
