According to its characteristics, the Lion has outstanding firepower, which allows it to be positioned as one of the best medium tanks for dealing damage.

The new Italian ST level 10 105 mm gun with a reverse loading mechanism is at its disposal. A basic armor-piercing projectile penetrates 258 mm and flies at a speed of 1080 m/s, and a special (gold subcaliber) 323 mm at a speed of 1400 m/s are excellent performance. High-explosive fragmentation shells have high penetration, which can be used against lightly armored vehicles.
The spread at 100 meters is 0.32 - the accuracy is one of the best among classmates. The aiming time is depressing: 2.59 seconds, while the tank has poor stabilization in motion and when turning the hull/turret. It is worth noting the high speed of rotation of the turret, while it has comfortable vertical guidance angles -9...+20, which allows you to confidently play from the terrain. The damage per minute, even when playing from the 4th shell, is high, so the tank is in the heavy-duty category.
The average safety factor is 1850 units, which is an average figure. The armor is cardboard, in this regard it is very similar to the German Leopard 1, with the only difference being that the turret can sometimes tank with a gun mantlet. The hull and side projection of the turret will be pierced by absolutely everything, and land mines will be especially painful.
The Lion has a lot of weight, so even with a good engine, the specific power is slightly better than the average 19.3 hp/t. Based on these values, the maximum speed of 60 km/h is generally achieved briskly, but the maximum speed is not enough, and the lack of reverse speed is especially noticeable. The chassis traverse speed is 46.94 deg/s, so its maneuverability is mediocre.
Stealth is not outstanding for a sniper-class tank, but the visibility of 400 meters can please.

In this regard, the gameplay is very similar to the game on Leopard 1, only a Lion with a full drum can shoot once every 4.5 seconds, and a “German” once every 8.9 (excluding “minced meat”).
At the same time, you should not play Lyon like Progetto M40 mod. 65:
Lion does not have such armor, so it is more vulnerable at close and medium range;
the pumped-up Progetto 65 plays from the first shell and it is important for it to have a fully charged drum, but when playing on Lyon, on the contrary, there is no need to specifically wait for the magazine to be fully charged. If such an opportunity arises, then fire 3 shells at once, and then do not go to full reload, but play like a cyclic tank from the penultimate shell - in this case, the DPM will be maximum.
Based on the characteristics of the vehicle, in the first half of the battle it is important not to lose strength points unless absolutely necessary, but to save them for exchange at the end (there is no armor) in order to shoot the enemy at the expense of DPM.
