I really use whatever I feel like using, but knowing methods that cheese kills are very useful. Raccoons and javelinas are a good example. The .243 rifle hits vitals when shooting at raccoons from behind. While the .308 does the same thing to javelinas. It makes hunting them a lot easier when all you have to do is run at them.

before i started exclusively hunting cape buffalo and sometimes plains bisons i used: zarza-15 .22lr (i like it better than the virants), 7mm break action (dont have dlc + reloading looks way cooler) and the recurve (for 2-3 and 9 cuz bow hunting is fun, but i also brought 4-7 arrows and i have attempted to shoot class 1 with it out of the air, but i have yet succeed)

My loadout after the hunter power pack is .300 mag (I tried the new .338 but was disappointed with the penetration), 7mm bolt action, .243 R. Cuomo, .22LR. However I swapped the 7mm to the M1 because I wanted to try it out and I wasn't around the game during it's heyday.

My load out now is the 22. , the new 22-50, 7mm bolt action, Alexander longbow and the new automated caller. It’s been nice to hop to any map and get it all taken care of. I try to use the longbow as much as possible as it’s fun to figure out, but the rifles are there if needed. I have been trying everything though and it’s always fun to bust out less used weapons.

I like zagan varminter for 2-4, 7mm magnum for 5-9, 22H Wasp for long range bird and varmint hunting and one of the 20 gauge birdshot shotguns if I decide to hunt small flying birds. I don't really like using the 22LR for the strat, I feel it's cheesy, but it's definitely a fun gun for small game maps like Revontuli

i found a good loadout that works great for me and has me ready for anything. slot 1 is the M1 Iwaniec Veteran (30-06), slot 2 is the Grelck Drilling Rifle (combo of 9.3 x 74R big game cartridge and 16 gauge birdshot), slot 3 is the Ranger .243, and slot 4 is the Virant .22LR Express. i also use polymer tip rifle rounds and hollow points for the .22

I wonder how this changed due to the 22-250 being added, since it covers 2-4 and the 7mm covers 5-9, I’d probably switch out the 243 in my own personal load out due to model preferences, even tho the power is less, but if I have a smaller caliber gun I’ll be using it for 2 and 3 anyways so the 7mm would cover 4-9.

I switch up my loadout all the time, pretty much every time I log in to the game. I just like the variation I can get, it's a lot of fun. That being said, the .22lr and the .243 handgun stay in most of my loadouts just because of how insanely versatile and useful they are. Carrying the .22 while deer hunting bagged me a max score max weight goose from over 100m away on the fly.

so i am not sure how much stock to put into penetration and expansion. But I prefer Zarza .22lr for 1, 30-30 for 2-6, 308 for 4-8 and 470 nitro for 9....if i am hunting flying bird i sub in the 12 gage. I prefer the 30-30 because it has better penetration and expansion numbers when compared to the 243, I prefer the 308 because of the ability to double tap not even the biggest moose can withstand a solidly placed double tap rarely miss out on the quick kill same with the 470 nitro and the big 9's because it is a double barrel rapid double taps mean insta kills. Yea gotta be a little close but it is fairly easy to get into 100 yards without too much trouble.

308 / 30-06 and 454, 243, .22 handguns. The bird species for the most part are just annoying filler that I will blast out of frustration with whatever I feel like. I tried using shotguns, but I just don't care enough to even bother using them. I'll add a bow for variety before I do a shotgun, and I can hunt everything I want to do with this setup. When I try other loadouts, I just go back to this one after a few animals.

For class 3 animals Flinter at 300m do you still go with the 243 rifle? Or Solokhin or the new 22-250? And what about the 223? Would make a great video😊
@joaogomes9405
@joaogomes9405 9 ай бұрын
The 22-250 and the 223 are basically the exact same in performance, the docent has one more round and slightly better hip fire while the 22-250 has slightly better penetration. The solokhin would be a no go since it only has soft point ammo with pretty mediocre penetration, making it hard to use at long range since your penetration drops with range. Finally, the 243 has more stopping power and penetration than either the 22-250 or the 223, but less accuracy. So, for 300m range I'd go with the 22-250, has it has the best accuracy and penetration of the bunch, with the 223 in close second, the 243 in third and the solokhin dead last.

One small question. How does the whistle/pressing X work? Can you just whistle instead of shooting with the .22? Also, isn't the .22H Kullman better because it also covers class 2 or does it have a downside to it? And 3rd question, what about the 10 gauge shotgun?
@richardmerfert1928
@richardmerfert1928 11 ай бұрын
I don’t find whistling to work after a certain distance but the .22 shit is consistent at range (with zero). I go with the 10rd .22 anytime I use but not sure about the kullman. I used the 10g a lot and what I found is: Accuracy is meh even with zero Most lvl 9 I shot with it took multiple shots I tested 12g slug vs. 10g slug on bantengs and consistently both required multiple shots, but 12g was damn near close to 10g and pump had more shots that racked much faster.

@joaogomes9405
@joaogomes9405 9 ай бұрын
The kullman is good for long range since it has 50m extra range over the virant, but the virant is semi-automatic, quieter, just as accurate and can be used for the alert strat. The kullman being able to hit class 2s isn't that big a deal since you should always carry one of the 2-4 guns with you, like the 243 cuomo pistol, the 243 ranger, the zagan varminter or the 223 docent. It is however useful if you end up in a situation where you have a class 1 and a class 2 near each other since you can hit both without having to switch guns, and those kinds of situations can sometimes happen around need zones.

My favorite load out is the following; 300 canning, M1, crossbow (with all three arrow weights) and the 454 handgun. It doesn't cover everything (easily) but they're my favorite weapons to use in game. There's just something about hunting moose and grizzlies with the 454 and crossbow. I also have what I consider the accuracy load out; 300 canning, 6.5 reyo, 223 and the 22 rifle. This lacks the overall power that my favorite set has but can cover all animals. If I'm going after ducks/ geese I will leave everything in the locker except for a couple of the 12 gauge shotguns, it's rare that I specifically target birds. Last load out that I'll routinely use; 300 canning, M1, 243 rifle and the 22 rifle. But I just don't have as much fun with carrying that load out.

Zarza-15 .22lr predator Zarza-15 .223 midnight Zarza-10 .308 moonlight .300 canning magnum frontier Every map one shot all 96 animals 300m with many over 300. Just over 2k hours of game play with this I jump on any map clear 20 to 50k in 30 minutes get my fix and jump off😂 Also small fact I started with bow only and my first lvl 1 to 60 and max 2 dogs both in under 48 hours same run. Love the bow right now though with these guns I am seriously bored, nothing is fun it's run with the skills/perks see something long as it's 350m or under shoot it clear an area walknaround grab everything the game play got way to easy also that 22 I can easily hit up to 200m ome tap ducks turkey ect. So now im in the middle of literally building another bow build to slow down the game play and have fun as money is no issue everything is payed for ever ago ect. Also this is a person that has never shot a real gun so no fan buying just hours at the gun range with paper and pen seeing the actual difference for zeroing ect and then practicing in game. Ps new players just try for lung shots. Have tried it all even a day of hunting buffalo with the 22 rofl. Most effective I have felt though is woth the 600g arrows just so satisfying taking the animals down super fast compaired yo a gun when hitting within 100-200m bow or gun bow feels better and takes them down faster

For me as someone who doesn't know anything about weapons, this video unfortunately has very little use. You don't mention the names of the weapons as they appear in the shop, so I have trouble even finding many of the weapons you're talking about, even though I own all the DLCs. I realize that that's a "me" problem and that people who know what "bolt action" or "pump" mean probably won't have this issue. Just pointing out that there may be more people like me who are looking for weapon recommendations, but won't be able to use the information as it's presented here.

@psyringe5627

@@unpointsword Well, this video clearly has an instructional intent. I'm giving the creator feedback that their instructions, in the form that they were presented, were of little use to people like me, who have less context knowledge. Perhaps the creator takes this feedback onboard and uses the in-game terminology next time, which would make their videos more accessible to beginners. It wouldn't be hard. Could I consult other resources to make this video digestable for me? Sure. But that would be pretty inefficient compared to watching a video from another creator who explains things in a way that makes them understandable without extra research. And I'd rather be efficient, I'm afraid, so I'd watch those other clips. All that said, I don't think the creator here _intended_ to for this video to be useless without additional research into the terminology. I think they just use the terminology they are used to. That's the same reason why brilliant minds are often bad teachers, they struggle to get down to the level of (parts of) their audience. Hence I gave my feedback and pointed the problem out, so that the creator can recognize and - if they want to - make future videos more useful for beginners. Which they of course don't have to. I don't think there's a problem with that.

@@unpointsword I have no idea why you feel the need to drag a discussion of the presentation of content down to such a personal level, but I'm pretty happy with how far I've come in the past couple decades, thank you. :) Look. I didn't judge the creator, I gave them feedback that they can use to broaden the audience that can make use of their content (but of course they don't need to listen to me, I'd be perfectly fine with that). I 'm findng it pretty hilarious that suddenly my approach to life is being judged by a complete stranger who knows nothing about me, but you do you. ;) This is a video about a game that I sometimes like to play in my limited spare time. The idea that I would approach this in the same way as, say, keeping my family happy or running my business seems pretty ludicrous to me. Obviously, if I require information for these activities, I will look it up. But if I have to do additional research to understand advice on a video game, while other sources are available that don't require me to do that? In that case, it seems vastly more efficient to me to watch those other sources instead. And perhaps leave some constructive feedback to help the creator understand why some potential viewers might wander off. Which apparently triggered someone enough to berate me and question my approach to life, but okay. ;) Take care. :)
