I used to dream about a particular brand of catamaran and regarded it as being the nicest boat around before I learned, courtesy of the Internet, that it had a serious bulkhead issue that all but made it unseaworthy. Romanticizing life at sea is one thing but actually being equal to the challenges that life at sea poses is quite another. The same applies, I think, to the lifestyle associated with the beautiful trucks featured in this video. At 60 I would rather dream about it than let reality take over. And reality in this lifestyle will often assume the form of getting stuck in the mud, looking for a tow truck in the middle of nowhere, or finding out that you don't have enough water to flush the toilet.

Your words are full of wisdom because when you have a dream it’s easy to close your eyes and imagine a “what if” scenario but when you achieve that dream and it becomes reality it will turn into a nightmare. In my case it was a Jaguar Mk2. I got one that was in perfect shape, as per the seller advertisement. The thing became a curse from Hell with daily failures, expensive repairs, etc, until I learned to hate the sight of my dream and when I got rid of it I was a happy man again. I dream now about a Silver Shadow II, happy in the knowledge that it will never become reality. Dreams are dreams and should remain as such. By the way, I drive a nice Renault Clio, economical, reliable drive in metallic red color. Have a great day.

the guys from Donut tested the Earthroamer and didn't do anything crazy and broke it (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fZmlhMapyd-lcWQ.html). I'd honestly take the mercedes based options over the earthroamer at this point, and if I had the money.

Cool vid. But I can't believe there is much of a market for these things. Only people who can afford million dollar toys can buy them. And the market is further reduced to people who are into offroad adventures? Where do you even do that at it 2024? I know. There are a few places. Just saying that it is a very niche thing.
