Geenobe actually this Mario is better than smash 4 Mario. His only nerf was down throw but his up throw compensate for that. His notable buffs are up air connecting better and up b killing better. His biggest weakness in this game is no more air dodging off stage which makes it a lot harder to gimp

Heavies I think are a big problem because he’s not that heavy, he’s easy to get launched by heavies. Swords he can fuck up easily. His comboing movesets are faster than most sword characters aerials and nairs and much easier to punish ground attacks and he can punish a lot of aerials to.

Feel like I've learned a lot from watching these plays. I've been a Mario (and Ness) main since Smash 4, but in Ultimate I know he's still got the stuff to dominate almost any matchup. And he's still my main! My Mario has won me lots of matches even in Ultimate! I'm still trying to improve in Ultimate as a whole, so thanks for sharing this. Mario's number 1!

This goes to show no matter what Mario is the best fighter, he doesn’t need a gun,Sword,Some stupid charge up ability that will give him more power. Mario is truly number 1 P.s for those who say fludd is a charge ability I know but adleast he’s different from all the other fighters who have one

Forgot about those two because I rarely see them online and the reason for Kirby is because of his blade( I don’t like people just spamming that thing) his hammer, and his melee charge. I guess ken and ryu can get a pass since they don’t have attacks such as having the ability to spawn some random phantom knight out of no where or even having the ability to control a projectile on where it goes. ..... The next fighter better not be a sword fighter or heavyweight or gunner I would really like another all around fighter that doesn’t relies on throwing or shooting things repeatedly

Mario is very mid-tier. Arguably even low mid-tier because of his low frame speed and lack of range. His forward aerial and combo game say otherwise, though so it is very debateable

@@Lightning-gg5iu Armada, Leffen, and ZeRo have put him low mid-tier or middle of the line. Dude Mario has SLOW frame data. Try using Mario against Yoshi, Lucina, or R.O.B. and it is more than likely that their moves will land before yours, even if you attack at the same time.
