Here's a great tip to add a better garlicy taste to your mash potatoes. Rather than putting garlic powder in, throw a bunch of de-skinned raw garlic (depends on your taste) in with the potatoes while they boil and then just mash/process them with the rest of the potatoes. The boiling makes them soft and incorporates a beautiful garlic flavour through the mash - much better than the powder :)

When I was a kid my father used to come home from a long day's work, wash his hands, and make the mashed potatoes with a round perforated potato masher and his machine-like arms. In 20 seconds mashed potatoes were done, and as good as any other, minus the cleanup of employing an entire Kitchenaid for 15 seconds of mixing.

For whatever reason, I really enjoy using a spatula to scrape things off the sides of bowls. It's just fun to me. It's pretty much the only time I get to use a spatula (not counting a fish spatula).

Turn that water off, sir. This is ridiculous! What is worst: the potatoes are most likely still full of sand after this exceedingly brief rinse... If you want to do it responsibly and well: take all potatoes into a bowl of water and give each a good scrub. Then put them in the drainer and give them a quick rinse. THEN cut the potatoes... The water from the bowl can still be used to water houseplants...

These comments covered all of mine. 1 peel potatoes for mash...there’s just no other way. 2 I’ve never seen so much water used before to just wet a potato. 3 the heat from the hot potato will melt your butter so skip the stove and just add those ingredients to your bowl of hot potato as you mash it and save yourself extra washing up. I have however possible found a new way to mash my potato so I might give the kitchen aid a whirl next time I’m making them. This video did make me laugh. Thanks

You don't mention how much cream to add, looks like 1/2 cup. I've never heard of Caracol Butter,so I'll just use common salted butter. Can't wait to make these. Should go along way. I live alone,so I vacuum seal 1-2 portions per bag of every large batch of food I cook; stays good for a year. Straight out of the deep freezer and in to the microwave for 2-3 minutes, and I'm sitting down to eat.

Maybe he lives near the Great Lakes, the water used eventually makes it back into the lakes. Everyone in that region can run their showers, fill their pools, water their lawn, and flush their toilets endlessly without even putting a tiny dent in the water supply. And it's all ours, OURS I SAY, AND YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY, NO, NOT ONE DROP, NEVER! AH HA HA HA HA.

You’re not really cleaning or rinsing the potatoes. Just getting them wet. ❌ Skins are dirty as hell, and scrubbing is required. With brush or dish-scrubbing pad. All around the potato, til the white potato shows through the skin.

Y’all need to shut the flip up about the water running. What did he “waste” a gallon of water? Maybe 2? Jesus Christ get off of him about it. If he does this 10 times a month, now that’s mashed potatoes every 3 days. Which is a bit much. But, if he did, he wastes 20 gallons of water. A normal shower uses 2.1 gallons per min. So if you take a 10 min shower you use as much as he does in a month. And you shower at least once every day (hopefully). By these numbers y’all better be sponge bathing every night if you are so water conscious. Gtfo of here ya hippies

Wow he leaves the frigin skin on. He doesn`t even wash them properly, nice way to catch tetanus and microbes from contaminated soil. My mum told me never to follow American recipies `cause they don`t know how to cook, how right she was. Mashed potatoes with skin, YUCK, so smooth, YUCK. Guess his mum was too lazy to take the skin off. Imagine the skin getting stuck on your gums or on the roof of your mouth, between your teeth, YUCK. He even puts powdered garlic in, double YUCK. Guess that`s "Easy Cooking" by Dad, should titled "Lazy Cooking" by Dad.

It's funny watching guys dramatize basic cooking mothers do everyday after working 8 hours. Next question, is this guy cooking, or is he trying to sell a base model lift head kitchenaid lol? Rather than getting my big lift bowl stand mixer messy for such a simple task, I just use a bowl and plug in a hand mixer. Really what a mixer is used for, is whipping them up real fluffy... I could have done what he did in 2 minutes by hand with an old fashioned potato masher and had 90% less mess to clean up lol. But he can fix my car, because that's just gross.

This worked great for redoing the shower/bathtub of my kid's bathroom. kzfaq.infoUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I didn't like the guide, so I took it off. I just used a fine tipped sharpie on the tile and followed that line. It does make a wet mess, and once I started looking like I wet myself I started wearing a towel and apron while cutting. The blade it came with worked great until we wore it out. It was better than the replacement one we bought. I tried looking for just their blade, but failed. Not really for larger tiles unless you stack stuff on either side to support the tiles. Anyway, would definitley buy again.
