I got one of these bad boys shortly after they were released. It's worth the paltry asking price. The active pickups are pretty br00tal with gain, but they sound great clean as well. I think the frets are nickel, but they came well-polished and without any sprout. I have no major complaints, especially not at the ~$200 price point (shipping to the States was $80 for me). The cons I've got are fairly nit-picky, but here they are: if you get this beast, you'll probably want to grab some locking tuners (I went with D'Addario Planet Waves) and replace the plastic nut with GraphTech or the like. The finish is mostly awesome, but my guitar did come with a few abrasions, mostly on the headstock. The dots on the side of the neck (not the fretboard inlays) are ever-so-slightly off-center from the 12th fret up. Also, I had to adjust the intonation for all but two of the strings. I might have adjusted the truss rod slightly, as well. All in all, Harley Benton really knocked this one out of the park. It instantly became one of my favorite guitars. It sounds great, looks killer, and is as comfortable as you'd expect a Strat-like to be.

I got mine 3 weeks ago and did the following:Harley Benton ST-20hh active SBK Mods: 1. Locking tuners 2. Bone nut 3. Roller string-trees 4. Speed knob (vol) 5. Full set-up (action, intonation, etc) 6. 11-52 NYXL's 7. Fretwrap 8. Perri's leather strap 9. Dunlop strap-locks And its freaking AMAZING now!

@@nikaxeguitar acdc, van halen worship. I like those type of bands I'm just complaining because It's always hard to find good deathcore, hardcore, modern metal type of demos.

At this point in my life i wouldn’t buy anything less than Japanese made 1k minimum 🤣 once you get a taste of better guitars you cant go back, those $200 could be used towards another quality guitar. Its never ending upgrades for guitar players eventually you justify spending $3500 on a guitar 😅 i have a shitty peavey vypyr amp thinking of getting a Katana then eventually ill want something more quality and may end up justifying a Axe FX 🤣
